Super G Loveshake from Inbound Brewing

After getting texted by my friend in North Carolina that it was 83 there today, this is needed. It is not close to that here: 31F, 5-8 more inches of snow. I am sick of winter. At least the beer is good.

Pours a nice darker golden color. The head is 1 finger, with decent retention. There's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose is fairly citrusy. Leans toward orange to my nose.
Taste - a smooth citrus flavor, slightly sweet. It is mellow up front, but on the backside the hops kick in more with a slightly bitter finish.
    Smooth, velvet feel. Decent body.
    Delicious beer overall.

Pulling for the Wolverines, but suspect Nova is going to win this. Ommegang Hand of the Queen Barleywine. Have passed on a lot of these release tied to GOT, as I see this a marketing gimmick. I am a sucker for a Barleywine, so why not?

Stone Totalitarian. This is excellent and somewhat makes up for the lack of Founders Imperial Stout this year.

    Full Pint - Rye Rebellion
This one got better with a few months on it. Nice balance between rye, chocolate, and smoke.

I was actually pretty disappointed with this one considering how much I like IBB. Way too sweet and it didn’t meld well with the chili

OH 4th Anniversary Imperial IPA. canned just over two months ago and tasting better than ever

Fresh batch with new packaging. Not quite as magical as it used to be but it could just be my palate. Either way this is great for $11 a six

Outstanding IPA. Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with light caramel, lightly toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied/carbonation; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Increasing resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. This is insanely dank and vibrant on hops. Nice malt backbone, no residual sweetness. Amazingly drinkable. Definitely something like Columbus, Simcoe, Citra in the hop bill. Glad the distribution of Ellison increased dramatically recently. Looking forward to trying more of their other stuff soon. They all keep delivering amazing results. Will always keep one of their beers in the fridge. This is my most purchased one.

Fantastic! Flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, toffee, fudge, raisin, fig, date, bourbon, vanilla, toasted oak, and coconut; with lighter notes of coffee, tobacco, and leather. Light-moderate roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spice; with an awesome bittersweet/oaky balanced finish. Full-ish body with an outstanding creamy/silky mouthfeel, with minimal chalky roast character. Touch of dryness. A bit of booze as it warms on the aromas, but nothing significant. Pleasantly warming finish. A very unique BBA stout, not as dense/roasty as most. It seems to have flavor characteristics of a darker barleywine of sorts; but still remains roasty enough to feel like a stout. Tons of complexity going on with great balance of the malt/barrel characteristics. Will gladly grab another 4 pack. Pretty much all of the reserve series is easily available all year, and I love every single one of them.

I don’t have a dog in tonight’s fight, but I thought this beer would be fun to pop at halftime:

Good game so far...Villanova looks unstoppable.
