A friend of mine got two tickets at the kiosk last night after she slipped the clerk a $50. Group C.

I actually enjoyed my time there, food is killer and the beers are a lot of fun. All that froot joose really goes well with Vietnamese street food.

I'm sure their beer does great for getting people that aren't that into beer to fall head over heels into the craft, but did you know that about the Andall beers? I'm not sure they actually brew much besides a few NE IPAs.

I heard they were going to open your variant for you and make everyone drink it on site and that's why they limited the amount you can bring in yourself.

I was well aware of them useing Anderson valley gose as the base for their Joose. The stouts were originally made useing either founders breakfast stout or hardy wood gingerbread stout as a base. They have however in the past 6 months started brewing their own base stouts.

Ah...so the "GBS" was from Hardywood! (Double Barrel Hawaiian GBS was an insane dessert concoction!) Glad to find someone else that actually knows this, and moreso than I! I'm also pretty glad that the gingerbread didn't fuck up that blend lol! I'm less a fan of Hardywood and their gingerbread stuff. *barf*

I just want to repeat myself by prefacing that I loved how the joose pairs with their delicious Vietnamese food and their place is a great time, but must admit, I lose a lot of respect for a brewery who blew up simply by blending puree into someone else's beer. Plus not all of them taste okay...I don't know how the Cody Austin Joose got so popular, but that was a huge swing and a miss for me. *double barf*

I suppose you could say they blew up so much being the first brewery to realize they could do this. They’ve spawned so many imitators now that it’s almost become common for a brewery to offer a low abv super fruited sour. I imagine they’d prefer to brew the base gose in house but blew up faster than they could scale up. I’ll also agree 100% Cody Austin and most of the other coconut joose blends are not good. I prefer the mango/orange/raspberry flavors myself and have taken to mixing them 60/40 with a high abv ipa to increase alcohol while maintaining that juicy goodness. I’m looking forward to seeing them represented at this years dld.

the reason FFF hasn't announced variants yet is because everyone is getting a bootle of
    Earl Of Biggleswade

Yes, you read that right. It’s not a bottle. It’s the Earl, poured into a vintage boot.
