Grabbed a coupla four-packs from my local shop after work today...
Two things I've never seen before: new collab between Barrier and Finback, Legal Tender IPA, dry hopped with Columbus and Mosaic hops, 7.6% abv, canned 3/27...

And Allagash Curieux in a 4-pack of 12 oz bottles...
After classic tripels, Westmalle and Karmeliet particularly, this is one of my faves, but the cage and cork bomber is always like $20+, so I usually pass - but this 4-pack was $19.99 - that's a win in my book, BA...

Wonder if I'll see four-packs of Odyssey next...?

    Also today...

    Bam!

    Sfogliatelle!

    Thor's Day...

Drinking like bourbon and fruit beer candy...

    Cheers...

Your user name certainly seems fitting. You post from a new taphouse almost daily, sometimes multiple ones in the same day. I'm just being curious, how do you do this? Do you travel a lot for work? Are you on some kind of spiritual beer journey across the USA? Have you secretly perfected a teleportation pod?

Wow, what a great format for Curieux. I hardly ever buy it anymore because of the caged bombers. Hope we see that out here in CA.

I'm sure we all like a nice, firm, round number around here. And #2000 is one. I realized a little while ago my review numbers were lining up with the WBAYDN numbers. So without putting really much effort into it, I decided to time my 2000th review with this version of the ongoing thread.

Looking back, I joined when this thread was probably at about a year old... around #400 or so. I'm almost certain that it's predecessor (NBA) was either not numbered or it wasn't apart of the current count. True old school BAs can chime in on this point, though I believe as this site started reaching more time zones, the "late night" part was relative.

I didn't really start participating until later (more on the site for reviews and news), but it became more social after a while. As such, I'll socially bore you with my 2000th review beer, from one of the iconic, early presence in "craft" beer, brewers. Sierra Nevada:

I'll be reviewing this slowly (ha!) over the evening, but initial thoughts are a big punch of the barrel, more whiskey than wood/vanilla and a woody undertone. I'm kinda digging it right now, though I might argue that could conflict with a revisit under different circumstance.

Bonus free-loading bug trying to become "ImmortAl" taking advantage of my mood on a nice day:

He must've been a good swimmer, b/c he lasted a while in that double-digit beer.

    Cheers and go Caps!!
