I might not drive far for beer, but I do drive often...

Picked these up today...

Unflattering wombat face label for Trial By Wombat, but whatevs...

Fucking awesome - a Galaxy hop IPA (7% abv) - lotsa NE-style stylings, reminds me of Trillium beers I've had - more bitter than sweet, with a taut green vibe of unripe mango and bitter melon... Tangy, smooth, and plush-feeling - fairly full-bodied for a 7% IPA, but with a lean, tongue-gripping element - really digging it...

On a day where it only seems appropriate to listen to true Norwegian black metal, I shall enjoy this Trve beer, which was delivered by a raven, sent by @beergoot. @Roguer, you may not be getting any snow by you, but if you any of these left, you may wish to join me in having a cold, grim, Saturday. @beerloserLI, it is going to be a rough day for your Mets.

 

Celebrating my youngests Confirmation today! and starting things off with this Pilsner from a Sam Adams mixed pack! Not bad....

Benchtop Juicing Dry Hopped Mango Gose

 

Missed out on WBAYDN #2000 due to work travel (first time traveling for me), but I was enjoying a couple good beers after our site work day on each day. With that travel schedule in mind, a shitty track workout, and barely getting in any run mileage this week, I was shocked I was able to go out and set one of my best times in the half marathon this morning. I was able to go out controlled the first half and then come back with a big negative split even with a headwind. I feel like Hell, but it was a great confidence booster as I'll start my marathon training here in a few months. Naturally, I popped open the can of '17 BA Ten Fidy that has been residing in the back of my fridge for at least 6 months to celebrate completing a busy and tough week and for a solid race performance.

This may be too much head formation for some, but I think it's rather remarkable that a one year old can of BA stout can even produce this much foam. I've picked up fresh BA stouts that pour flat and fizzy (although Ten Fidy's performance could be due to force carbonation...?)
