    Well, I ended up doing taxes before doing the lake walk. A few shots of some of the downed trees from the nor'easter about a month ago or so. Some larger ones, including one a houseowner had to deal with, along with one that fell strangely:

    Then one that just fell recently, given the new buds of leaves. Had some fair breezes in past few days, but nothing that gusty, I didn't think.

    The bottom row is an eagle in its nest. We saw the nest last walk after a roped off area was signed "off limits" due to said bird. I know it's not a great shot, but a phone from a hundred-plus yards hitting the head of an eagle ain't easy. The white spot was popping up and down, and I got lucky to get the crappy shot I did.

    Anyhow, beer to refresh myself after the almost too warm walk:

    Didn't have any beer called "broken trees" in my icebox. Also, no Broken Trees band to post music from. I could go Eagles, I guess, but this was close enough:
