Feeling a bit mentally elevated and thinking this beer will add to the sensation as the evening progresses...

Good evening, all! The snow is beginning to come down, so I'm settling in on this cold winter's (:astonished:) evening with a warm dish of spicy white chili...

...and a Surly Furious. Is this a #proper serving vessel? No matter. I'm getting ready to pour it into a dirty stemless wine glass anyway.

What's in YOUR... um, what the hell do you call this thing, anyway?

I'm not sure. It hit Tuesday if this week and I got one of the last six packs of 12 cases at noon on Friday. It's a good beer, but I didn't think it was that popular, especially in Arkansas.

Fantastic Berliner! Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy rhubarb, strawberry, melon, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, hay, straw, and grass; with balanced vanilla, cream, wheat, and crackery malt sweetness; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; very creamy/silky/grainy wheat/vanilla; some lactic acid and light fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/tangy/carbonated dryness; no pucker/astringency. Refreshingly drinkable, not overly lactic, 4%. I've never had a compote before, but this is definitely what it might be like. Super jammy rhubarb, with balanced Lacto complexity and vanilla/wheat sweetness. Insane drinkability. Will definitely keep grabbing more while I can. Spot on dessert style/milkshake Berliner as expected. I keep buying more of it every week.

Awesome DIPA. Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big mango, peach, pineapple, apricot, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, mildly increasing warmth of 9%. Not as impressive as I remember when I first had it, but still delicious. Very juicy and lightly dank hop complexity; sizable malty backbone, but not overly sweet for a DIPA. Glad I grabbed the 4 pack as expected. Hope the availability gets better.

I don't blame you. I'd get as far the hell away from @lester619 as I could too.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Besides the @lester619 part. In that case, yeah it's good to be far away from him.

I enjoyed it but by the time I get to the sixth one I’m done with it. So it’s interesting to hear different perspectives. I don’t even think I bought any last year.
