    There’s no way.

But also, I don’t blame them. I’ve thought about Perrin today more than I have in the last 18 months.

It was clearly a solid business move. People came out in droves during an ice and rain storm.

I'm not normally a conspiracy theory kind of guy, but I foresee with the language used the potential for wiggle room. SOmething dumb like "we did sell out. Everything we had ready to sell today, we sold."

Which does not imply they won't have more to sell later.

Pretty sure this is it. Probably release more at every “special occasion” all year long.

This. Good God. For the love of all that is holy, someone please explain this to me. The beers I've had from them, as a whole, have not been good. Seeing what people are trading this for (or trying to) makes me bust out in an uncontrollable gut laugh everytime. Just fucking stop people.

Agreed. I've had an array of BA JOs stuff over the years, including Appervation and Double Barrel Oil of Aphrodite last night with some friends. Just top rate.

I saw a retweet on their Twitter timeline of some guy who bought 130 cases. That's not enough to supply the state in distro like last year, but it probably helped lead to the sellout earlier than expected.

Their Twitter account also posted that sales were shutting down. There was no mention of selling out. Of course, by not mentioning a sellout, people are more likely to swing by tomorrow.

I love Jackie O’s and 450 North  and yes, I am a Wisconsinite. CW, Funk Factory, and NG aren’t too bad either. Fanboy

If it's the same guy as previous years, he is muling for members of a Detroit area FB beer group.

I do find them halting sales a bit ridiculous. Mark my words, we'll see this as part of a gift set in retail distribution this year...

I'm kind of interested in all the pushback on my localization effect comment. I'm not saying JO isn't good, hat I am saying is no one will tout them as being as good as an Ohioan will. That's all I'm saying. I suspect you see this everywhere. locals tout local stuff above the average rating by FAR.

$28,000 worth I heard. Pretty skeptical on the sold out. I'm guessing several other "batches" will show later. Or they made a VASTLY smaller amount. Then again, what the hell do I know.

What's the legality of "I'm picking beer up for a few friends" when it's a pallet and a half in the back of a U-Haul?

While we’re talking conspiracies about this release, I’ll throw one out there that I don’t think I’ve seen yet.

They say they “made as much as last year” but it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities that they lost a portion due to infection. Hey....ya never know:grin:

If you buy $28,000 worth of beer, is it still considered a hobby?

    I agree. $20000, 24000, 25000, even 27000 is okay. But $28000?! Dude needs help.
