Like I mentioned in the Bottle Logic thread, Lindsay asked Eventbrite about it and they acknowledge it’s working fine. Think I need to get a screenshot of the issue of a release I don’t care about getting and send it to Eventbrite. But at this point that might be pointless. Might just go desktop like @BreakingMyBalls

hmm... it's happened to me maybe once, assumed i was just missing out and didn't get in fast enough. I've had better luck on the app sometimes too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Missed out again. GF got it though. So, 1/2. Ah well.

 

After experimenting with both app/desktop, I've arrived at a technique I use that has helped me never miss a sale (knock on wood). Passing along here for the beer karma.

On desktop, refresh the eventbrite page making sure the ticketing modal is exposed. This is important to cut down time once the sale goes live (here is example on a different active sale with the ticket anchor in the URL):

Keep refreshing and keep your mouse over the checkout button.

Once you see the sale is active, hit Tab + Tab + 1 [or the number that corresponds to how many bottles you're purchasing] with your left hand, and then click on the checkout button with your right hand. Doing this, I can usually cart an item within a second or two of the sale going live.

I've been doing this technique as well and haven't missed anything since I've started doing it. Have experimented with both the app and desktop and this is probably the best way to not get fucked.

 

Once one masters 'the technique', this is the only bot mule you'll need:

I love the idea of random can releases like on Friday! It takes a lot of the lot lizards out of the guessing game. I wish they would go like 2-3 weeks without a release and then do like 3 in a week. It would reduce lines and allow more people access to cans because maybe I would get lucky one day when I show up at opening.
