A friend just texted me about a limited release today at the brewpub, limit 3 per person. I was there on Sunday and they had Alpha Klaus on tap too, y'all should get a pour of that while you're there.

    Cheers!

A small batch, per their fb. I'm guessing they made it to fill a few barrels and bottled the rest...

I'd make an obligatory complaint about the price but $15 is cheaper than what I paid earlier this year.

$15 for a 22 ounce bottle seems high to me. That works out to about $49/ six pack of 12 oz. bottles. Is it that much better than a $12 six pack of bigfoot?

Or a $10 4-pack of the New Glarus barleywine, back when that was around.

More power to them, they could probably charge $20/bottle and sell out. They are a business in a free market, I have no problem with what they charge. I am just trying to talk myself out of driving over there.

I honestly was going to start this thread, but then I was like "wait, I am new. I think that guy is the only one allowed to start Three Floyds threads" so I didn't. :astonished:

Same. Just trying to put some perspective on things.
Per my math, Behemoth is $0.68/oz, whereas BCBS is $0.52/oz. Or $32.64/4-pack of 12oz vs. $25/4-pack. So, skip driving down to IN (with gas and Skyway tolls), and just do a quick search for another BCBS 4-pack

Or for $3 more, you can get a whole case of Zombie Dust. That line of thinking is what often keeps me from spending the big bucks on some of the FFF releases.

Unfortunately, I also have the "I've spent $$$ on good bottles of scotch" line of thinking :slight_frown:

Zombie Dust isn't a fair argument. That stuff is a steal at $35/case. They could easily make it a $10 bomber and still sell out.

But luckily for us, they don't. And I agree, it is a steal! But regardless, I picture myself walking out with two bombers of Behemoth or an entire case of Zombie Dust for nearly the same price. It's hard not to go the ZD route.

"But that's like, just my opinion man."

Only thing that stops me is that the last time I got a case of ZD, it took me 3 months to go through it. There was a distinct fall off.
