    Three leftover cans of Mt. Massive fit perfectly in my liter boot. Drink responsibly. For the record, I’ve never, not once had any issues or gotten beer spilled on me from das boot. It’s not that difficult.

    I had planned to go to Triple Crossing today to get some crowlers. One of them was Clever Girl. I wimped out. All kinds of protests downtown and I was too lazy to deal with it.

    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

    Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a murky body for a lager (cloudy for a NEIPA!) Nose of some tropical fruit, citrus, and the slightest bit of lager-like cracker-ish whatever. Taste of nothing like a lager and more like an APA or IPA with a very bitter finish. Good feel and overall, the NJ transplant Vermonter for 30 years in me says ok but the 50% German in me says no, no, no. Cheers?

    An IPA in the milder style presenting with malt, hops and citrus all in balance. By balance I mean three distinct flavor sensations that run along parallel tracks rather than being layered on each another. Interesting combination working in harmony. Very likable stuff.

    Does one palate cleanse a DIPA with a Vienna lager? Well, some do...



    ...and that lp is some old, old Jimmy Smith...not much going for it, but what they hey, the vinyl was worth the buck I paid for it...but I believe a little root down may be order this evening...
