Been off the board for a few days, came back on and saw 3 pages of new posts! I honestly thought there might have been an announcement or something, boy was I wrong...

 

I know the weeks leading up to any info put out by 3 Floyd's is filled used band aid smells and gibberish death metal noise but maybe we can get at least get 1 page of what we are hoping to try/share....

I’d love to try small, local favorites from around America, especially in cities where I have friends and family so I can talk to them about fun places to try. I love the big names as much as the next guy, but I already know about the big names. I want to learn about the next big names that are currently small names.

 

If I had a dollar for every time some poor soul uttered those words, I could buy FFF.

A guy in my group reached out to Floyds to try and get clarification on the 72oz limit. Here's the email and response:

"Good Afternoon,

Is it possible to re-enter the event with beer through the main entrance? I know it is stated that re-entry through the re-entry gate cannot have alcohol. I was just wondering because i will want to drop off my allotment at my car so that I dont have to carry it around and will want to re-enter the festival afterwards.

Thanks"

And here's the reply

"Sorry, guests aren't permitted to re-enter with more beer.

You can hope, because I'm here to tell you that I was able to sample Younger about 5 years ago at DLD; a friend's son had brought a bee-yoo-tee-full growler of it in from San Fran.

Of course, my palate was toast, so I murmured the appropriate hmmmmmm, wow! and then stumbled on my way.

Found myself bored at work and caught up with this thread today. Home life got ugly the last few months so I, sadly, will not be joining you all for the big event. I will still put on my DA shirt and complain about metal on DLD, I will just be sober and a hundred miles south.

 

So is there actually a hip hop tent? If it's decent stuff I'll have to hang out there

It's the best spot for people that want a break from the metal. My cousin dates one of the bartenders. Says they will be playing the WuTang album Martin Shoreline bought between acts.

 

My Ukrainian host family bottled their homemade bath tub potato vodka with horseradish. That makes cardamom taste like a Cinnabon in comparison.
