    I think I have to play the jealous Mormon today and take a day off. After the beerz at home yesterday...got lured to a local taproom last night to try some Station 26 beers, really solid. Juicy Banger (IPA) and Bang Bang (DIPA) in the offing... juicy banger reminded me a bit of Cumbre's Elevated while Bang Bang had its own distinct profile, like a more interesting Stone drink by...
    IN any case...need a liver break so I'll just "like" your shit up today.

    In fact this is my second beer today. Tried Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast with breakfast this morning. See second picture. Posted it before in yesterdays thread because of time-zones

    First time I ever had beer in the morning, more an experiment in taste really. The wonderful oatmeal stout brewed with coffee worked amazingly well with the fried eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes on toast. Rest of the morning was not very productive however. I think I better stay away from beer in the morning :slight_smile:

    Taste is surprisingly good. Surprising because this brew possesses a richness lacking in some Kolsch styles I've had in the past. Or I just don't remember, anyway it's sweet malt on entry followed by a deeper grain presence which I presume is the rye. Ale yeast gives it a fruitiness and lagering a smoothness that plays well together. Sweet theme is replayed in the aftertaste along with a hint of bitterness which I can't tell is due to rye or hops, but it does balance things out.
