I heard there's some kind of dispute between Melvin & Columbia. Not exactly sure what that means, but the owner of my local taphouse told me the Melvin rep said not to expect to see them in OR for a while.

I wonder what the disagreement is over and why not just hook up with a different distributor. The CEO of Columbia mentioned in an interview that any brewery from General Distributing was to free to end the agreement and choose another distributor if they wanted. Did that change?

Maybe no one else is interested in picking up Melvin for other reasons?

After hearing about everything that's happened in Bellingham, I will never drink another Melvin Beer again. Too many many other good breweries out there to waste my time and money on that mess.

I like that in the comments section someone is acting as if there was one lone incident. In reality, if you talk to folks in the beer scene up here, almost all have negative stories about Melvin to tell. From Melvin employees humping beer coolers at other establishments or ordering beer from other breweries and then loudly shit talking it, the tales seem endless.

I don't know why I even attempted to read that comments section.... we have a long way to go to being civilized with one another. I always loved the Hunter S. Thompson quote, "Good People, Drink Good Beer," though I'm beginning to believe it's not as simple as that despite how nice it sounds....
