One of my all time favorites... for some reason we don’t get it an hour away in Fort Collins- can’t complain about the distribution here with clear conscience though

Yep. I went to the release at the Weasel. This was the first release I attended in the Oak Room and it went SO much more smoothly than previous ones in the taproom. I really appreciated that they opened the doors early to get us out of the rain, the free splashes of Jahvanilla, and the token for the free pour (which we were told was for anything but the Jahvanilla, though I heard at least one customer give a bartender shit about this). I've been pretty down about some of OB's past releases, but this one impressed me. There's always room for improvement, but I'm pretty encouraged by how they handled this one.

I went to the Boulder release. What a mistake. That's the last time I go there. Staff was friendly enough, but they certainly didn't know how to run a beer line. The "GM" was all giddy and happy and telling everyone how there's plenty. But I moved about 5 feet in line after almost an hour and they ran out. So I sped to the Weasel and barely got there before they ran out.
The beer itself , frankly is only pretty good. I really can't say that I like it more than the regular BA FIDY. I found the barrel to be barely there, there was some coffee to it, but the vanilla was hard to find.
I'm glad I got my BBB Reserve last time, because if I had chosen JAHVanilla over BBB Reserve, I'd be upset. Reserve is amazing, JahVanilla is alright.

Has OB ever had a successful beer release?

It would probably help if the multimillion dollar company popped for more than 1 POS system to get the line moving. That's always the bottleneck. 4-5 people will be standing around waiting to get the beer for people, but only 1 POS, usually with 2 people looking at it spending more time and effort chitchatting than getting things done. That was the problem at Boulder, but it was the same thing at the Weasel, there was just way fewer people by the time I got there, but it still took forever.

Hunahpu’s and 110K were both listed at $30 at Boulder, but I think the Hunahpu’s was actually out

The BA Quit Stalin variants were all great, maple coffee was my favorite but the chocolate coconut was a very close second.

$31 a crowler for the variants. I really hate most of you neck beards but it was great seeing the 5 of y’all I don’t today. Comrade doesn’t make a mediocre beer.
