[IMG] Just a gear tasting and fairly roasty stout. Thanks @jzeilinger for this one buddy.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on, another normal Sunday with bottle returns, laundry, and a grocery run later on. Weather is supposed to be nice again thou

Amazing IPA as always. Haven't had it in a while. Finally got some fresh cans in locally! Got a 6 pack. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, apricot, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable and not overly aggressive. Even with the new hops they added for the 1.1 version, it still tastes like the original Chinook/Centennial hop profile the most. Hope we keep getting these fresh cans more often now. I will keep buying them. Perfectly balanced juicy and dank hop complexity; with a nice solid malt backbone. A true classic IPA.

Incredible as expected. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, coconut, cream, toasted oak, brown sugar, and dark bread; with lighter notes of molasses, rum raisin, fig, date, cherries, licorice, smoke, and charcoal. Increasing booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light roast/char bitterness and rum/oak spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied. Very creamy/silky and lightly slick mouthfeel; with light touches of chalky roast and oak tannins. Slightly increasing bitter roast and tannic oak dryness. Never acrid/astringent. Incredible balance of the rum barrel and base stout. Pleasantly warming, but not boozy finish. Dangerously smooth sipper. Amazing all around. Glad I was able to score more than 1 this year. Still have to review the regular Whiskey barrel Noir yet. Prairie imperial stouts rarely disappoint, very top tier stuff. Vanilla Noir is my top rated beer, which is tied with BA Bomb. Glad I was able to get more Vanilla this year as well.

Taste is very full but with a charming balance that's almost delicate. Like the resounding percussion of a concert grand piano that goes on to develop elegant subtleties. The heavier elements of dark malt are there yet the interplay of dark fruits (ripe black plumbs and figs) keep the strength moving forward with a fluid grace. Hops remain ever present like high notes that keeps the whole in balance.

Good morning BAs! It's starting off as another sunny day here in NW PA. Mrs. Lizard and I are going to make a run to Station Square in PGH today to see if we can actually get there - the main route in (I-279) is under destruction for about 17 miles and the traffic is usually lighter on Sunday than any other day so maybe we'll make it. This is a practice run prior to going down Wednesday afternoon (in traffic) for this week's PGH pathology meetings.

Today's New Breakfast Beer is from @Beer_Economicus in the recent NBS BIF 007 and is a cross-post with NBS:

    A decent basic stout.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, marshmallow, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad it was easier to find this year. Definitely my top favorite coconut beer, but there are plenty others I buy more often. Wish this was year round. I bought a full case worth of 4 packs this year. This, Born Yesterday, and Xocoveza are my top big buy beers of the Fall/Winter season every year now. Still have plenty left to (hopefully) hold me over til the fall.

Incredible as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; bready/grainy wheat/oat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank and juicy hops, with perfect malt balance. Never overly sweet/heavy, awesome soft mouthfeel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. Hope they keep making Cart Horse often now as well. Both are top favorite NEIPAs, will always be in the fridge if they are available.

Erdinger Alkoholfrei, since it never hurts to try some healthy options in the beer spectrum. This beer is in fact even promoted as a sports drink.

Not too bad, but lacks most of the interesting taste you find in the original.

    Cheers!

Really solid IPA from probably my favorite brewery. Pine, citrus without the bitterness.
