Other Half in April

They are brewing a heck of a lot more now so almost everything usually makes it through the line, even yesterday I was able to show up at 12:30 and pick up Einstein's Daydream. Only super hyped collabs and things like Triple Cream which generally have lower yield and high demand are things you have to wait in line for.

 

I usually set them up in the instagram post comments but as someone pointed out earlier the new change makes that pretty horrendous. I would still try, but even if you don’t link up ahead of time, people usually have their trade beers displayed out in front of them flea market/swap meet style so you should still be able to trade a bit.

 

You can set up trades in the IG comments, but they are kind of a mess now. I think they best way is the 2 main Facebook groups, Other Half Trading Arena and Other Half Everything Club. If looking specifically for EQ, you may have some luck posting in the Equilibrium Brewery Fan Page group as well.

how was the EQ brisket collab?

 

I was the first person in line for brisket. Nearly got a ticket walking past the cops with my open crowler of space falcon in one hand and a big pile of meat in the other. Confirmed it was amazing.

 

Oh... Dream: 6.2% Oat Cream IPA w/ citra, galaxy + motueka.

DDH Double Mosaic Daydream: 8.5% Double dry hopped imperial oat IPA w / mosaic, lactose sugar + oats.

DDH Cheddar: 7.9% Imperial IPA w/ citra, equinox, kohatu + wai-iti.

570nm: 8.7% IPA with citra, mosaic, nelson sauvin + golden promise, oats and Vermont fermented yeast.

DDH Mylar Bags: 8.8% Imperial IPA hopped with amarillo, galaxy, citra, mosaic,and el dorado. Citra and Mosaic Lupulin powder and more Galaxy hops.

 

Am I the only one who thinks Einsteins Daydream tastes nothing like MC2? Delicious beer, just nothing like its "base" beer.

 

I've been wondering if that's going to happen since its like the 4th regularly brewed Single Hop DIPA. Looks like a solid release this week but I'm stocked enough that I'll probably pass on everything.

 

so 570nm is just the double version of 495nm, i take it?

Wow I can't believe I didn't put that together from the names until just now.

 

Hahaha. Yeah when I first saw the keg tops for these I was like what the hell. Then my buddy told me they were references to green on the visible spectrum. Feel like they missed a Finback collab name opportunity with these.

 

Would love to see Forever Simcoe make another return. Don't really care if it gets the "Daydream Treatment"

Damn really want Citra/I7 but I’ll be at TAPNY so I cant complain. Love their double hop beers.
