I buy this and Born Yesterday every year.

Awesome use of Blood Orange juice and Hops,

pretty damn hefty at 7.5% for a pale ale.

Today was a good day. I drove up to Ithaca with my brother. First I went for a walk at Taughannock Falls...



Then I made a quick stop at Finger Lakes Beverage Center and picked up a few goodies...



Then I got some ramen at Oishii Bowl in Collegetown.



Now I'm back home and crushed a cold pilsner.

Trying another entry into the hazy IPA market by a mass brewery.



This one was much less impressive than Sierra Nevada's "Hazy Little Thing". The appearance is impressive, very dank looking orange juice, but that's where it stops. The aroma is very faint, but the citra is there with some bright grapefruit. The flavor is a lot like chewing on a dusty, green hop pellet and chasing it with club soda. The feel is resiny and slightly oily with some decent carbonation. Overall I gave it a 3.66 out of 5. Probably would not revisit.

Very well said sir, very well said. You echo exactly how I felt about the beer and I also compared it to hazy little thing. For what it's worth the beer is using a Hefe Yeast yeast stain to get that cloudy appearance, which is indeed spot on. So is the mouthfeel, but the whole IPA part is lacking big time.

 

You are very lucky to have a can of Wrench, consider your self blessed.

For real. That was the first thing I grabbed, immediately when I saw it. I was so glad they had it.

Trying this Barleywine sent via @Hinda65 from Utah!



The appearance is great, the nose is very faint though. I smell wet wood and very faint caramel. I was optimistic for the flavor but it let me down. I taste peppery wood and moss, with faint peppery caramel that just barely pushes it into obligatory Barleywine territory. The feel is fine and on par - creamy and crisp with slight resin. Overall I gave it a 2.61 out of 5. I'm really disappointed and I wish I weren't!
