What beer are you drinking now? #2011

You'll make a couple stinkers at first, but once you get going and learn from your mistakes (I still am, I don't think any brewer stops doing it!) it's an insanely fun and creative process. IPA's seem to be my niche, but I refuse to rest on that. I continue to do styles that are difficult for me personally until I get them right.

It's too thin for a stout. I guess they blend a stout with a honey ale of some kind, but it just tastes like a metallic mix of stout and lager. Maybe I expected something it couldn't be, but I still don't enjoy what it is. I'd recommend only buying a single if you want to try it. I won't write off dfh, but I haven't cared for the last couple one-offs I've tried.

 

Yeah WWS (and variants) and 120 minute are their best beers imo. The others are kinda hit and miss.

 

Wow, I'm seeing a lot of Old Nation posts tonight. I thought I'd finish with a bit of "juice" myself.

 

Mostly hit, imo. I've been quite pleased with most Dogfish Head beers I've had. Flesh & Blood was boring, but SeaQuench and Lupu-Luaua are some top favorites for me, among others.

EDIT: Liquid Truth Serum, Noble Rot, and Beer To Drink Music To '17 I also loved. 60 Minute, Namaste, and Indian Brown are good. Yeah...I really like Dogfish Head.

 

I need to try their brown again, it's been a while. My fiancée liked flesh and blood. I have a 4 pack of 120 in the fridge. Last couple beers I've had from them have been pretty lame, but that happens when you try to push the envelope. You're not going to please everyone. I still respect them for doing something different. Just getting leery of unknown 6 packs.

From a schooner of Modelo, to a 6 ounce pour of Fundamental Observation, I have been feeling it! So let’s hope to hell that Imgur gets its head out ofkts ass, because regardless I will still be chugging!

Surely it’s sack in that keg but it could be beer (I like to think it is ).

 

Talk about a flashback. Spent ten years in Las Cruses and Alamogordo in New Mexico, family moved to Minnesota when I was thirteen. 50 years later I still remember La Posta. Best chili riano ever.
