    Decent enough IPA with nice citrus and tropical fruit notes. Very grassy as well, but perhaps a little too floral, bordering on perfumey. Balance seems a little off, but still enjoyable.

    Deep red amber color with white cap.

    Aroma of caramel malt with floral hops.

    Taste is malt forward with hops enough to provide balance. The dark caramel comes through with a hint of sweetness yet the impression is dry. Hops go along for the ride but stay a bit elevated above the malt. As Ambers go this one is rich without being cloying and hoppy enough to spice things up.

    Took rest of Sunday and all of Monday off to give my aging liver a rest. Spent all this morning with Wife and dogs at the Gulfport, FL street market (got fresh bread, a lobster roll, and beef bones for broth), then running errands. Beer please:



    Piney, grapefruit rind bitterness. Lite sticky resin feel. Local(ish) and canned 4/12/18. I like - Cheers!

    Onto something a touch lighter. New brewery for me, haven't heard of these guys but Alabama decided to send some up our way so I grabbed a sixer of this.

    This is really solid. Smooth mouthfeel, slight syrupy sweet finish, which maybe mutes the hop profile a bit, I would like a touch more bitterness, but other than that I have no critiques. I'll be on the look out for these guys!

    In the heat on the balcony my IPA went down fast. Inside KP duty now, with a little coffee:



    Mrs. Z went to lunch with one of her former UF colleagues...I may have another beer after I clean the kitchen :stuck_out_tongue:, and hang here with the doggies.
