Having an isid'or trappist Belgian strong pale ale. I think it might be a really old one but regardless it's still excellent! Cheers!

Excellent NEIPA as always, glad these are year round now. Flavors of big tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, grapefruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins, and lightly increasing bitter dryness. No hop astringency. Extremely drinkable, 6%. Citra and Mosaic hops. Absolutely delicious. Very vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank hop complexity; with perfectly balanced wheat/malt backbone. Newer batches have been much more soft and dialed in than the first few batches, which were a bit more drying. There is a double version of this one coming soon. Spot on stuff for the style.

Awesome scotch ale as always. Been buying this a lot since I revisited it last year. Flavors of big caramel, raisin, plum, prune, fig, date, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of peat smoke, chocolate, cocoa, leather, tobacco, and herbal/peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, bready, silky mouthfeel; light sticky hops and chalky roast, with increasing bitter dryness. Very smooth, mildly warming ABV. Just a little too bitter and increasingly drying for the style; but the rich malt and fruity yeast complexity is completely spot on. Really love it, even though I prefer Scotty Karate for the non-BA style. Been drinking a ton of Founders lately. Glad Backwoods is year round as of this week. I still have plenty of multiple vintages in the cellar. Prefer it more with age, but it will be a nice thing to always have available.

This one has a few months age on it. Let's see how it tastes

edit: umm well it's interesting. It's got an almost blueberry flavor to it which is probably the coffee going to shit. Surprisingly not the worst thing I've ever tasted

[IMG] Very solid offering. I feel like I will age one and find out, but I think this beer is as good as it gets now and aging will not hold up great past a year. Will drink the hell out of this beer at this reasonable price point for quality. Not sure about others but nothing better than a Barrel Aged Stout or Imperial Porter to finish the day.

This is surprisingly a good beer. Lots of candied fruit taste. It would be better around Christmas time.
