Here's my assertion on Didi. He's having a career year. I love it. I'm clapping. I'm thankful.

That said, he will NEVER end up in the HALL like his predecessor. Cheers, Derek Sanderson Jeter.

Hydra Morning Star Cranberry Berliner Weissier, 3.5% ABV. Pours hazy golden with a slight off-white head. Nose is slightly fruity. Taste is very tart, slightly sour, cranberry, and no bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. Not bad, I'd like to try other variants.

Not a fan of sour beers, so I expected not to like this - but needed to have another Berliner Weiss to get back to 101 of 104 styles on my quest to review them all. I recently noticed that the style of Bell's Oarsman was changed from Berliner Weissbier to American Pale Wheat Ale, which reduced my number of styles to 100. So, had to have another Berliner Weiss.

It’s going to be hard leaving all these handpumps behind, but still two days left to drink up before I head back to Texas. Thanks to all the BAs out there for helping me navigate these beautiful bitter UK waters!

    Cheerio!

My first beer from these guys, all the way from Boston to South Bend. This is an excellent Citra-hopped DIPA. Just a pleasure to pound a couple o’ pints of this.

Happy Wednesday, BA's. Tonight calls for a big beer. I could say a lot but I'll let the name speak for itself. Lots of oats and 10% ABV. Released today. Cheers!

Daily lager review. This was really solid. Nice head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Flavors of cracker, corn, white bread, light biscuit dough, and light herbal/grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. A bit too fruity, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. A bit thin, but not watery finish. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.3%. Perfectly clean lager flavors. Surprisingly tasty! Clean pale malt/corn flavors, and light earthy hop balance. This was as good as regular Bud to me, at a lower ABV. Really well made IMO, not too heavy on corn flavors with nice barley presence. Completely exceeded all expectations. 3.41

This was amazing! Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big nutty dark roast coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, and herbal/peppery hops. Light roast/char/herbal bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast/coffee, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, never acrid/astringent. Mildly increasing warmth of 8.5%, minimal barrel booze. Amazingly rich and complex; with perfect balance of fruity/nutty coffee, bourbon barrels, and malts. Not overly roasty, letting the coffee really have a strong showing. Will be getting a few more 4 packs. This is my favorite CW reserve yet. Reminds me of KBS a lot, just a bit lighter on the body. 4.35
