What beer are you drinking now? #2014

What do you think of it?

 

It is arguably my favorite beer. I drank a whole six pack of it over my birthday this weekend. It was much harder to find this year; normally it is everywhere that stocks Ballast Point (at least 5 places near me) but this year only one place had it all season. I actually prefer it to the Sunday Morning Stout I am drinking now and wished I had more VaS left...

 

The tents are down, now the fun of getting a new floor and new cabinets put in the kitchen begins.

Daughter #2 is getting married next Saturday and the whole wedding preparation requires plenty of beer to get through. I guess I better start working on my welcoming speech and toast. Or I could do as I usually do in similar events. That is, have 3 or 4 beers first and make it up as I go along.

 

Magnify Vine Shine IPA excellent brew.

 

Easing in to a self imposed beer budget. Found Warsteiner Pilsener for $12 for a 12 pack. Good beer for the price. Saving every penny I can for a trip to Myrtle Beach this summer. I'm not really a traveler, but am going to a beach wedding for a nephew. Already dreading the 16 hour drive.

5.0% ABV Session IPA w/ Enigma, Motueka, Vic Secret

Okay, I think a bunch of people slept on this one because it's a Session IPA. And I typically dislike them. But actually I find this really quite pleasant - big juicy flavors like an IPA, without that SIPA water base. If it weren't so expensive for me to acquire (what'd I pay, like $5.50 for a can + tax?), I'd buy more for the fridge.

Figured I should reward myself with a beer after my first ride of the year on my new bike. Kids are at school and wife is at work, a perfect time to sit on the deck with this.

 

This is my last beer for the week. I'm just too broke to buy more right now. Fuck my life. Well don't fuck it it is nice and sunny i'm just seriously considering driving to the park across the street from three floyds or taking a walk in the woods behind this place. Do they have pipeworks in Colorado before they even get it in northwest indiana? I recently tried some of the stuff from them when I went to trader joes in IL recently and I love all of it so far. Shame I need to go to IL to buy it

 

We get some of their stuff now, but it's hit or miss. Couldn't find it for a while in COS (Coal Train was out, my local liquor store) so I went ahead and included a little of this in the order from Beer Temple.
Now, if only Half Acre would start distributing out here...

 

Started off with a Founders Baby Stout and now chasing it down with an outstanding NE IPA Beer from BREWDOGS ..
