What beer are you drinking now? #2014

Back from watching the kids games, now time to fire up the grill and get dinner going.....and of course have a beer with. This is a New England style DIPA from Exhibit A featuring Ella and Vic Secret.

 

Dude, you sent me one of these. I thought it an excellent beer. Never heard of the brewery until then.

Odd finding this in stacks locally. I knew people years ago who drove to the Rockies to stock up. Of course even that was 30 or more years ago. I know it has been available here for a while. I couldn't find any rocket bottom cans, though.

 

Each time I drink one of these I just think wow.

I never heard of the brewery until I purchased the four pack. The shop owner recommended it and I highly respect her opinion. This was my second can and I have to say it was much better with a little age on it.

Last of the four pack. Brewed in Ontario. Beer is pretty good. The glass though is awesome. From the great state of VA!

 

Diving into this beautiful brew, the other day we had a Casey Family Preserves Apricot--and the old lady is thinking she actually preferred that over this. This one is definitely more sharply sour, and a little less expressive of fresh fruit, but also a little funkier.



A few more versions playing around with photo settings--the first "yellow-only" b/w setting created these odd gray circles around the orange.



The body of this beer is just so vibrant. If I didn't know this was Side Project, I'd guess J Wakefield!

 

I am sure that even though the shop owner was a her it had nothing to do with your purchasing decision. Nonetheless, she was right.

 

This beer is really good. It is time for Milwaukee to dominate the Celtics and Cubs, and for the Green Bay Packers to draft Saquon Barkley.

 

As per explicit instructions from my wife I am not allowed to notice any physical attributes. Also, much like my wife she is usually right.
