My wife followed my instructions last weekend not to bring home old IPAs from out of town. Instead, she brought a growler of Irish Red Ale from a local STL brewery...

I really prefer to buy all my own beer, but she's convinced she will surprise me with something great once. Anyway, I'm off until Tuesday and there's plenty of beer in the fridge. Cheers all!

 

Hooray for Friday! Just worked 11-out-of-12 days, one day a double shift and now I’m off until Sunday night. This is such a good ipa. Nice breakfast non-stout. Cheers all

 

Clear deep golden color with white cap.

Aroma of piney, herbal hops resting on a mild grain base.

Flavor is hop forward but it doesn't come across as overly bitter. The hop flavors of herbs and pine lean more toward sharpness yet have a touch of citrus like sweetness. Flavors resolve on a dry note but hops are definitely the Belle of the Ball here.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

This is an exciting step forward (or backward in an historical sense) for a general issue AAL. Local pricing has it close to twice that of Hamm's so that's a consideration but Pabst APA does stand out from the crowd.

Gooood morning! And happy Friday to the WBAYDN crowd. Starting off right, with a new can offering of Station26 Juicy Banger (IPA). Dank, bitter, piney, good resin and with enough malt balance I don't feel like I'm sucking on a softwood forest floor. Good stuff. 7.4%
Reminds of somewhere between Cumbre's Elevated IPA and Half Acre's Space IPA, maybe with less malt. Cheers!

Hello Ba ... Gotta really busy weekend ahead of me so I better drink a brew now while I can. This is a good one but surprisingly I can detect the alcohol on the finish. Cheers !

 

Surprised to see it on the menu, so I snapped up a Bells Hopsoulution. Sipping this deliciously hoppy beer while making food decisions. Cheers!

 

Another hotel beer. 8.6, and today trying the 'Extreme' version of this 'Special Extra Strong Beer'.
A Euro Lager that comes with an alc/vol of 10,5%.

Like the regular 8.6 it's value for money beer when it comes to alcohol, but not when you're looking for taste. There really is not much in it

I love the view here by the way. Doing a lot of reading and writing on my MacBook this afternoon and evening. Looking in the distance now and then really relaxes the eyes. Or is it the beer I'm having
