Just tried Sneaker Wave and I'm blown away. The Cambridge-Reykjavík collab is working wonders. One of the most unique NEIPAs I've tried yet.

Is there typically a line out the door on Saturday around 5-7ish? If so, how long is the wait usually?

I went 2 Saturdays ago & there was about a 15 minute wait. That was my first time stopping by that late on a Saturday (if I go there, it's normally around lunchtime) at Lamplighter & the people in line said there is almost always a line at that time.

    Neon nights is great.

Almost a novel concept. A hazy juicy NEIPA that is actually bitter on the finish.

Comparing it to their other DIPAs I've had, specifically So Much For Subtlety, I'd say it's their best.

I don't know where this idea that NEIPAs aren't bitter came from but it's not true and it's never been true.

    Had a doppelgänger last night.

    Wasn't bitter.

I know exactly what you mean. I think especially with galaxy ipas, the beers are typically super smooth and juicy. Major Tom has all of that with this wicked dry and superbly bitter bite at the end. I love it.

Can't wait to try the new offerings.

Haven't had a SMFS for a while...and maybe never the citra variant. Diggin it.

Is neon lights the one they said was basically a double ipa version of major Tom or am I thinking of something else. Definitely want to try whatever that is because MT was great.

I personally wasn't crazy about Neon Lights in my visit after work yesterday, but Birds of a Feather is quite solid! Went home with a 4pk of that instead. Honestly a little confused by the brewery's description of Lights being a DIPA version of Major Tom, because the two taste wildly different IMO.

Major Tom still blows my socks off. Will be getting more than just one 4pk during it's next release.

I don’t think the double Tom was lights I think it’s another beer but I’d have to scroll through their feed to find it

Yea I misread their post. Neon lights is in the family of major Tom but not a double version, just “double the fun” lol. I wouldn’t mind a double tom though!

    Neon Nights!

Super pumped about the beer garden. Should be a good time. Wouldn't hold your breath on double Tom - too much Galaxy usage, atleast until next year where we can contract some more.

Going to be breaking out of the routine and trying some new hop combos these next few months, so more fun stuff on the radar.

Glad you guys are diggin' - and thanks always for your support!

We’re going to do a different kettle sour thing this summer than Sound and Vision - but our real focus moving forward for sours will be the barrels. We’ve got a whole lot on site that have been hanging out the past year getting ready and are starting to turn out - so look out for those getting bottled for sure.

Compared to more traditional IPAs within the American IPA-style, aren't NEIPAs supposed to de-emphasized bitterness? I find that the combination of a softer mouthfeel and "juicy" flavor profile tends to mask perceived bitterness - some more than others. Can't imagine how cloyingly sweet most NEIPAs would be without some bitterness even if it's well masked.
