Back at it again with Alvarado Street’s Halftime Treat. Damn this is tasty. I apologize for my pathetic attempt at being photogenic with the oranges. Cheers fellow advocates!

#2, Mrs O and I went grocery shopping this morning for snacks and drinks while we’re in Palm Springs.

    We went to Walmart.

Not the greatest beer selection, but they did have the Sam summer mix 12er, so I picked it up to complement my mule beers. I used to drink this every summer, but haven’t had it in probably 3 years. It is worthy, IMHO. Nice flavor profile for a beer this light (5.3% ABV).

After a full day of work today and finding I have the pleasure of working on Sunday, it's high time for a Saturday evening refresher....

Kudos to the Gentleman of LARRRGE (i.e., @TheIPAHunter) for this fresh adventure...

Had a friend pick this up as I cannot get this in MO. Unfortunately, it is7 months old. :scream::cry:
It’s held up better than expected, though.

Great Gose! Got another pack this afternoon, glad it's back. Flavors of big juicy/lightly tart watermelon, jolly ranchers, lemon, lime, green apples, berries, and sea salt; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread malts; light lacto funk and yeast earthiness. Touch of herbal hops. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light yeast spiciness, fruit tang, and herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced grainy wheat creaminess and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; light salinity. Lightly increasing tart/tangy dryness, never puckering. Super flavorful and refreshing. Really great balance between the watermelon and fruity/lacto yeast. On the sweeter/less acidic side for the style; but still has adequate tartness. What I really love about this is the fact that the watermelon flavors don't have the usual cucumber vibe going on; but it does not feel that artificial either. Will be drinking more than a single pack this year again.

Awesome IPA. Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white grape, citrus peel/rind, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, never overly aggressive, 6%. I love it, glad I got a 4 pack. It has Nelson hops as advertised; but also Denali, Lemon Drop, and Mosaic. Very juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, and not overly sweet. Hoping to see more Port cans available soon. Not as impressive as Wipeout/Mongo, but well worth buying again.

It was a great place to grow up. Then summers during college I werked at Jones Beach sitting in a little circular building renting beach chairs and umbrellas to the folks that wanted them

    I need to chase a beer !
