Overhead is $130. Not sure what sneakbox or head high are but I would be surprised if sneak box is much below a hundred if at all

Why ask the source and get real information when you can ask a group of strangers to speculate?

Drinking it now, it is very good and I feel like there is more maple in it than I’ve ever tasted in any MB or SB and for that I love it. Barrel is nice and not overly present, still is creamy like the non BA brunches too. Very very good. But...every time I have one of these “whale” beers I think the same thing yea it’s very good but how do people lose their sh*t over it? It’s just a good beer and there are a lot of good beers out there.

A friend cracked one open at work yesterday. Its one of Kane's best, but that's not a big surprise. Maple really shines as it warms, a true treat.

Cracked one saturday night with a buddy. Thought it was very good. Lots of maple and very subtle bottle flavor. hopefully this ends up on draft

So for all the complaining and nonsense and people trying to flip bottles for tons of money or outrageous trades, I have a nice story for you all.

On r/njbeer over at reddit someone posted they had won a set but only wanted 1 bottle. I shot them a PM and said I was willing to take it from them by which ever means they desired, be it reasonable. They didn't want any beer as they had limited room to keep it and said $15 was a fair amount to pay for it. I double checked and made sure they were okay with that and offered thank you beers multiple times. They also worked with me to come up with a time to meet at Kane Sat since I was going to be out and about and also turned down my offer to buy them a beer at Kane.

Point being, in a scene where we see people going out of their way to make a profit off others and sell/trade things at a crazy secondary market cost, there are still good people out there. For that I am thankful. If you are on BA as well, thank you again for the bottle!

Funny I can actually echo this. I did not win either; and connected with an awesome guy who didn't need his 3rd bottle. We exchanged info and met at Kane and he let me grab his final bottle from him for $20. Could not have been nicer and it was really cool of him to do(If you are looking on here thank you again!).

Good to see beer Karma is out there and people just are not always trying to "win". That being said I am sending out a box of beer to a buddy just for no reason..

@fdonnelly cool to see that you had the same experience as me

Anyone know if Kane has any plans for a crowler machine in the future? Glenn maybe?

They usually have the 3 staples readily available in cans and a solid list for Growlers.. i don't see much sense for them to invest in a crowler machine at this point

Makes sense. It's anecdotal, but I've drunk crowlers 6 weeks out from filling and they've tasted great. Could be that growlers can last that long too, I just haven't waited on one to see how long it could make it.

I also just like crowlers because they are cool, and they're really big cans that make me feel like I've been shrunken down a bit...

chances are the crowlers you had were filled with the head space purged of oxygen with co2. Lots of breweries offer "counter pressure" growler fills (Other Half is one) that provide an excellent shelf life. But just throwing a tube into the tap and filling a crowler/growler isn't going to provide much of a self life.

Counter pressure is pretty awesome though. I have stouts that I used a counter pressure on off of my keg back in December that are still holding up perfectly fine without any oxidation issues.

I had 6 month old crowlers--not sure if Pizza Boy has special alchemy to their process but they tasted perfect. Sours were understandably unaffected, but stouts were too.

Yeah was totally unexpected and awesome and I was grateful as hell haha. I have sent some boxes out to people I follow on Instagram trying to just share beer they haven't had, i enjoy it!

Echoing the few responses here about counter pressure. OH growlers I have had have lasted weeks, the times I forgot I had them, and were IPAs. But if crowlers aren't being done counter pressure it won't matter. That being said I am going to crack my week + old OH EQ collab crowler tonight

I've had months - old growlers, even twist cap ones, that tasted great. Same with crowlers. The big benefits of crowlers to me:
    1. Much lighter in the cooler.
    2. Much smaller and package in the cooler.
    3. I don't always have growlers with me, despite trying I just always seem to forget when running around on weekends. And I can't buy any more glass I already have too many.

So even though i can get some Kane cans a lot of time I still wish I had my growlers, or they had crowlers. That said, I am not complaining. I understand it is a significant investment, plus they take time to fill, so I will live.
