My thought exactly.... What's the point in doing this if a ticket doesn't guarantee an allotment?

 

"Due to unforeseen turnout, the bottle limits are 0.5 bottles per person, this means you and your mule will have to share one, thanks for your understanding."

 

The best thing as consumers/fans we could do is prove it by getting a ticket and showing them it's a fruitless endeavor to fullfil the demand and use that sales method. Then maybe a lottery will start looking MORE appealing.

I was going to try to go Friday but I'm not spending 6 hours to do it.

 

I'm guessing the intent here is like @kodt said, it's keeps people to one allotment.

You're on the list, you buy beer, they scratch you off the list. You can't loop back. You can't hire a homeless mule off the street morning of...

If you're even thinking of trying to go, throw your name on the list!

 

But apparently registration stays open until 5/21 so you can still grab your homeless mule and just sign them up in line as long as they have their ID

 

I've got a confession to make...a couple weeks ago at Stout Fest I was chopping it up with Shaun and I told him my concerns about the DLD 2018 thread not living up the standards we set in 2017. He recognized this a serious issue and he mentioned he could come up with a crazy idea that would not only deliver numerous posts to the More thread, but it would be so crazy that it would boost the DLD thread as well. I just said, "Looks like you've been over served!" and went on my way. Turns out his genius extends far beyond pastry stouts.

And so now, Shaun Berns from this day forward you will also be known as B-loved Commander.

 

Show up at 4am for one $25 500ml bottle. Nope, I’ll stay at DLD. Of course I still registered just to show them how pointless this whole thing is.

 

Saturday night, let’s rage at DLD then head to villa park for the Sunday line.
