I hope they sneakily place Second Wave cans into one of their posts soon. I seriously miss that beer.

No One Says Downstate and Diamond in the Rough are both amazing beers. That’s really it, really blown away by both of them.

Picked up diamond in the rough yesterday. Not drinking til the weekend....waiting... patiently...lol. Love the weekday releases with no lines, even if it means sneaking out of work a little early

I like them too although my friend has picked up for me the past few releases. I love these clowns who complain about the midday weekday releases on Instagram. “WAH! Must be nice to stroll up to the brewery at 5. Some life! I want a job with those hours!”

Hey fuckface....you want to work my hours 1230am-830am? Just so you can pick up beer. I hate these entitled, self-absorbed assholes. I cannot stand it. Think before you type. How about this: “WAH! I want to have a job with regular hours so I can sleep at night and not during the day when it’s goddamned 75 degrees out. WAH, woe is me!” Id much rather go back to my old day hours where getting cans would not be an option for me. Lol, rant over.

hahaha well said. There's about 50 other can releases they can attend on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

I posted this about a year and a half ago when people lost their shit because they missed out on a weekday release of Close Talker and Oops! I Mangoed, but it bears repeating:

Well said. I know some people can’t wrap their heads around this concept but some operations go 24/7 not just 8 hours a day.

Haven't had Downstate, but Diamond is pretty amazing. Has a fantastic smell, smells like something I have had before, can't put my finger on it. This one is up there with Sand City's best. Not that it matters, but the can art is pretty awful.

Not great, but certainly not awful. Akin to the understated, minimalist, design of the 'Power' and 'Infinity' series labels. Kind of suits the name too, as a 'diamond in the rough' is "...something that has hidden exceptional characteristics and/or future potential, but currently lacks the final touches that would make it truly stand out from the crowd". If by "final touches" one means a flashy, colorful label.

These midweek, "silent" releases are perfect. Not everyone can get there all at once like on a Sunday, so the FOMO that grips people resulting in people scooping up cases of beer on a Sunday gets removed from the equation. Being able to get Diamond and Infinity with no line is the way acquiring beer is meant to be. The line culture in beer needs to go away, it leads to "irrational exuberance" and people have been come to accepting of it. In Sand City's case, unfortunate why line culture seems to be dead, but it is a welcome end game.

I am still astonished that people continue to line up for hazy/juicy IPA's when there are soooo many breweries in NY now pumping them out every week-Sand City, Other Half, Interboro, LIC, KCBC, Equilbrium, Hudson Valley, you can throw Dubco, Singlecut, Sixpoint, Barrier in. Etc.

It’s been awhile, and Even Mo Mofo is not one of those brews one comes back to highly disappointed…Gorgeous execution via detailed timing/balancing

Had another Infinity last night, such a great beer, Mosaic and Galaxy are a perfect combination and hops Sand City does well.

I became so stoked after I saw their post. Grabbing some tomorrow then brewing an IPA. Been waiting for this beer to come back for so long. Top 3 SC beers.

Let me know what you guys think of this batch when you drink it. I have some thoughts on it, but will hold off, don't want to influence with any bias, good or bad.

Curious to hear thoughts on this latest batch of second wave as well, one of my all time favorites from Sand City.
