    Based on the feedback & the story posted by the OP, one of the two of these folks is lying through their keyboard. I suspect the conversation will be shared with one of the mods...clearly someone doesn't value their account very much.

    Hey guys, whiskey and I agreed to an IP trade but whiskey and I never agreed to a time and place. Whiskey had me waiting for 5 weeks from the day we agreed to trade to finally wanting to meet, by then I was fed up. Prior to ghosting him and I had giving him a couple of breweries where we can me and he wouldn’t agree to anything. I wish I still had the conversation, maybe the moderator can bring it up. I’m still willing to do the trade if he wants, I just didn’t appreciate the negative feedback.

    I did mention that I had a lot of interest but only after weeks of waiting, the reason I mentioned this was because you took weeks not days. I aslo notice you were posting other IP trades and holding our trade hostage. I should’ve never agreed to trade without having a place and time to meet. Btw I didn’t trade with anyone else and I took the post down.

    No,I didn’t put up the same trade a few days later. I had plenty of people PM so I didn’t need to.

    I wasn't aware until now. I can send all the PM's to any mod that would like.

    I have messages of "I'm in no rush" from brocoli278.

    I also have him messaging me April 6th he could meet on the 7th or 8th. Although I could not meet on the 7th initially, I came back and said I could meet the night of the 7th or anytime during the 8th.

    Initial contact was March 11th, ghosting was April 6. That's not 5 weeks.

    Not super clear, maybe it wasn’t 5 weeks but I remember agreeing to the trade March 11 or 12 and yes I said I’m not in a rush but 4 weeks dude come on. Whatever the moderator decides is fine with me, I just hope you send all the PM’s and not be selective. I trade beer for fun and to try something I otherwise wouldn’t get to try. This is just silly to me.

      I can meet between 10am and 2 pm weekdays, any time on weekends. Lmk what works best for you. Also if you can’t meet is cool too, I got a lot of interest in this trade but I've been waiting for you since I have already agreed to trade with you.

      Hey dude, you dropped off. What's up.

      whiskey, Apr 13, 2018
    With no response. Unless I'm really dense, I didn't sense any frustration, and you definitely didn't say you wanted to get it done soon or squash it. Ghosting was pretty shitty.

    I don't see anything here that is so egregious to warrant bad feedback for either party. There was lags in communication and unavailability to meet on both sides. There was also no sense of urgency by either party. And all of the messages were cordial.

    Both sides should make this trade happen and leave good feedback or change feedback to good and put a note in there that both sides agreed to not go through with trade. Maybe do the trade via shipping to, $10 or so paid to a carrier would be far easier than IP.

    Also, to me "ghosting" would be an agreed upon time and place that was confirmed and one person not showing up with no follow-up explanation, don't see that here.

    I agree, definitely no rush on either part, but his response here states otherwise. I did respond twice to his last mention at meeting up and he left the conversation and then ignored further communication.

    It was all cordial, he just went dark to an agreed upon trade and the folks here encouraged I leave feedback and I did.

    So maybe a mod can read the PM's I posted and make the call on what he thinks. I'm down for whatever.

    @whiskey @brocoli278

    My opinion and resolution:

    I do not think either one of you deserves bad feedback. I think under the circumstances, you both were just unable to solidify a meet up time or accomodate each others schedule. Because it dragged on over weeks....focus was lost and frustration set in. I do not think either one of you meant any harm or did anything maliciously or intentionally to purposely not want to complete the trade.

    At this point...I would recommend that the BOTH of you change your feedback to positive and state this:

    We both agreed to an IP trade, but unfortunately we were unable to meet up due to scheduling conflicts. We both agreed to move forward.

    Are you BOTH happy with this resolution?

    Please respond and tag me letting me know your thoughts.

    Cheers!

    Wouldn't it make more sense to just delete feedback, rather than positive feedback. Because technically, it wasn't positive.

    Or is that not an option?

    Seems like neutral makes the most sense.

    Once feedback is left it can't go away unless Todd himself deletes it. I dont have that in my moderator tools. Giving positive and deleting is pretty much the same thing in this situation (both are win-win situations). Seems like a no brainer. I could ask Todd to delete, but honestly, I really do not feel its necessary to bother with a situation that seems under control and gets the same results. Plus, this is what I get paid to do :wink:

    Why would this be considered positive rather than neutral. It's not clear to me why this does not fall into the neutral guidelines. If it's easier, it's even less clear why this would be considered grounds for positive feedback at all.

    Because Im trying to have both their records be *clean* without a "nuetral". *bottom line*

    The traders are NOT at each others throats here demanding the trade be completed....again, focus was lost and feedback was left on both sides inadvertantly because of frustration...not so much because they despise each other.

    Im sure the traders would rather have a positive than a nuetral, ultimately its their choice. Im am just guiding a happy ending.

    The reasoning in the trade comment for feedback does not change...it still show cases what happened in this particular situation.

    From a technical standpoint...nuetral is appropriate....but I dont always play by the book.

    @dmbforever

    I still think he regretted his trade and I'll bet dollars to donuts he won't repost or at least complete that same trade. He also left(what I feel is) retaliatory feedback after I agreed to complete the trade on the weekend he said he was open. I agree there wasn't any malicious intention though.

    I've said my piece and I said I'd agree to what you decided so I'll abide by that.
