Yep -- seen't it at a number of stores. Not their best but definitely nice.

I liked Can Music. I don't mind the dark murky orange color personally. The mouthfeel is a bullseye. Nose was good but not in your face, taste was somewhat bland though. I think if they tweaked this beer it could be a beast.

had the 'More Tart'n'Tangy' yesterday, DIPA version of the tart'n'tangy, wild NE DIPA w/ lactose, and this was a great improvement over the original version.
This was a lot more tart, hoppy, and super smooth with the lactose in the finish. Not at Hudson Valley levels of sour NE IPA, but this was really great and if I see another bottle I'll definitely pick it up again.

Interesting. I poured it at a share on Thursday night and the friend I'd shared the previous version with and I both thought it was just as "meh" as the OG non-imperial. Another friend who is a total fiend for sours drain-poured it.

Cracked a Can Music tonight...as a Steve Reich fan, I couldn't resist. One of their coolest concepts, for sure.

The beer? Ugly as hell; it looked like...rust water?

Tasted pretty good though. Crushed Velvet is their high water mark for the New England IPA style for me; when they fail, it's on the cloying/caramel/sickly sweet aspect, and there's a bit of that here. However, the citrus/juicy aspect was strong enough to overcome that & landed this on the "enjoyable" side of the ledger.

I'm not super price conscious, but this one is probably not worth buying a 4 pack; if you can grab a single, I'd recommend it (cough *Bottles and Cans* cough).

I agree that a too malty, caramel sweet Neipa is a big turn off for me. I will be skipping this one. My wallet is happy.

I don’t know if Marz’s the Yuice series is canned or not, but those are some of the more flavorful NE IPAs I’ve had in Chicagoland lately. Certainly right ‘behind’ Corridor to me. Yuice #4 is especially flavorful.

Also, that taproom is pretty nice! Big spacious bar in the middle, good amount of tables, fun decor and art... Didn’t get any food while I was there but everything looked good from the people who ordered around us. Just wish the place was a lot more north (for selfish reasons).

First visit today. Great space. Enjoyed lots of experimental beer: Splash, Chug Life, and the aptly named Bubbly Kriek. All were very good. Lots of good work going on here.
Also, @eppie82 happy to find it south of Roosevelt.:stuck_out_tongue:

What did you do with the 1.3 seconds you saved by not having to type “on point?”

The price point seems steep initially. But with all the perks, discounts, special releases, events, etc. that they specify, it would be relatively easy to make it worth it over a year period.
