Yeah it ran smoothly last year. I'm also glad they have the bands tucked away in the corner instead of in the middle.

Refresh my memory on the purpose of the holding pen. Is that for Group A folks? I was group b last year and my recollection of that day is hazy at best.

 

why do they have atms if this is a cash only event?

I believe it's called "copy and paste" from last year.

 

That helps feed the scalpers at the end of the pickup line. Gotta make sure they have cash to buy everyone's variant as they walk out.

 

Interesting that’s there’s just “draft beer”. They don’t differentiate between Floyd beer and guest taps now that the booths have names.

 

for those jackasses standing outside bottle pickup offering $350 cash for your variant to flip them, as blatant as it is and for as many rules FFF has for us, why isn't there anything stated against it, I already know the answer to this question so I digress!

The holding pen gave access to porta potties, food, and area to move around after 6AM but before official opening. Got people out of the road and access to good stuff. Since its random variant, there isn't really a reason to be absolute first in line, letting folks mingle and enjoy their time more.

 

There appears to be more space north of the main tent. Hopefully they reclaimed that parking lot they used two years ago in that area. Grassy knoll might be back on the menu boys!

I still say go back in the holding pen for the meetup. Tons of room. The grassy knoll wasn't big enough and was a high traffic area. Being near a tap station in the corner probably won't be much better.

 

Yeah those were tight quarters last year. We should all bring a couple 2x6s this year so we can build some extra picnic tables in the larger clearings.

 

First time for dark lord this year.....not that it matters since we all will be hammered by the time we enter the main entrance, but I assume the guest taps are located where the three flloyds draft pour stations are...gumballhead, laser, etc. I want some beer from the answer brewpub!

 

The holding pen was definitely wide open last year. I don't know if the DJ being there this year will draw more people (or scare people away). I tried finding the knoll after my group B pickup last year, couldn't find you dweebs, then got a cheeseburger and got sucked into the tent haha
