The nitro is not there (probably due to my horrid pour skills, if truth be said) but the taste profile is pretty nice.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Bit of storms out there right now, but should calm down by the afternoon. Nothing much planned for me today. Need to work on some stuff this weekend before Monday at work, we got a bunch of assembly plant build issues and order failures right now. It has been a roller coaster of a week.

Amazing as usual this year! Aromas and flavors of huge mango, melon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, berry, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey and spicy rye bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very mildly warming ABV, dangerously smooth. Insane dankness across the board. Glad I got a 2 6 packs for sure, might get another one. This is basically just imperial Born Yesterday IMO, very similar if not the same hops. Ekuanot, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic was the first batch, probably similar here. This has all of the same dankness at a much higher ABV, while remaining well attenuated and not overly sweet for over 11%. Mosaic and Ekuanot are my favorite hops.

This is insane! Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, nutty coffee, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, marshmallow, toffee, fudge, bourbon, rye whiskey, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, raisins, and smoke. Very mild roast/char bitterness and bourbon/rye/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal chalky roast, oak tannins, or dryness. Dangerously smooth sipping, mildly warming 12%, zero barrel booze. Super rich malt complexity and balanced vanilla/coffee flavors; with perfect barrel integration. Never boozy, tannic, or drying. Not overly roasty or bitter. One of the smoothest BBA beers I have ever had. Great price as well. Glad this is basically a shelf beer locally right now. Was really limited at first, but then they sent a ton of it and it is all over the place now.

From the depths of @scream's cellar to mine. Bourbon Barrel-Aged Uber Joe from 3 Sheeps. There is no label on the bomber, since @scream's son works at the brewery, and he snagged some without the label. I put regular Uber Joe in the picture for reference. This is an amazing bourbon barrel-aged coffee stout.

A little something to chew on this morning . . .

Deep red brown color leaning toward dark garnet with slightly off white cap and lacing.

Rich scent of dark malt, ripe black figs, something like cola and dark yeasty bread.

Flavor is a complex mixture of the scents with all combining into a seamless whole. I do not really notice alcohol or hops except a slight hoppy bite in the finish and aftertaste. A touch of roasted chestnuts as well.

    Good morning BA

A gray, cold and wet morning here in Northern NJ. Thought this local, rye barrel aged coffee milk stout would be perfect.

Enjoy your Saturday and whatever is in your glass this morning.

My son gets his drivers license today. No more driving him around to ball games, practice or referee gigs. He has a girl and a car. He will soon find he needs a JOB to keep either one. Welcome to reality son.

One more nightshift to go. Cheers all and enjoy your Saturday!

Good morning and good afternoon, BAs! It's starting out as a typical day here in NW PA - dim, overcast, and threatening some type of precipitation. The bright spot is today's New Breakfast Beer:

This beer is GOOD, especially since the barrel tastes more like rye than bourbon!

Always world class saison. Flavors of lemon zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, peach, melon, orange peel, pepper, and clove; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malts; floral/grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Good sized peppery yeast spiciness with some floral/grassy hop bitterness. Smooth/crisp finish; with some bready wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Medium-high carbonation with nice crisp dryness, but not bone dry/prickly. Refreshingly smooth for the ABV. My new favorite go-to saison since Boulevard entered the state. A lot easier to find than Hennepin lately, and really glad this is in 6 packs now. Great price. It is still amazing with some age on it, but I love it fresh to get all of the hop vibrancy in combo with the yeast character.

Fantastic DIPA again this year, glad it returned. Amazing lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins and increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly warming 8%, dangerously smooth. Super juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. Tastes the same as I remember, but a bit less aggressively bitter/drying. Great Mosaic hop showcase once again. Might get another pack if I see it.
