Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on, another normal Sunday with bottle returns, laundry, and a grocery run later on. Need to do some work for tomorrow morning. Need to resolve some issues at the assembly plant.

Insane NE DIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, guava, lemon, citrus zest, berry, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet or heavy feeling on malts for the body/ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs, but I love a lot of other ones as well. I still have a pack left from the March batch, and it tasting even better now.

Amazing batch this year, as usual. Flavors of huge cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, cream, and chili pepper spice; with balanced milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread malt sweetness. Mild herbal spice and roasted bitterness; touch of char. Bittersweet balanced finish; with a fantastic creamy, silky, velvety, and rich full body mouthfeel. Some light sticky/chalky notes and dryness from the spices and roast malts. Dangerously smooth 13%, mild lingering warmth of alcohol and pepper heat. Super rich and decadent. Perfect balance of spices and stout flavors. One of my favorite spiced stouts along with regular Bomb! I haven't had the regular in a while though. Will have to pick some up soon.

From last night. A Quadruple IPA (12%), fermented on American and French oak, with the looks, smells and mouthfeel of a NE IPA.

Light and snappy, like this morning . . .

Very light golden color with fine beaded white cap.

Very mild aroma of fresh grain with mild bready highlights.

Flavor is much deeper than the scent implies. More bread than grain and the bread tastes fresh and clean without any off notes. I don't know if it's hops or carbonation that give off the slight palate prickle but suspect it isn't hops.

A happy Mothers Day to all celebrating today. Starting my day with Peruvian Morning (recycled picture as my cell phone is in the bedroom with my sleeping wife). Probably my only post of the day, but certainly not my only beer. Cheers all.

Fantastic NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds and increasing lingering bitter dryness. No hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, 6.75%. A bit more drying that expected for the style; but the hops are super vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy. Nice bready malt backbone with minimal residual sweetness. Looking forward to trying the other single hop Evolutions eventually. Got a bunch of Ellison BBA stouts through a friend yesterday. Going to be a great week. Definitely one of my new favorite local brewers.

Awesome Belgian DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, and citrus peel/zest hops/yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, clove, pine, herbal/floral/grassy hops, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness. No hop astringency. Very drinkable, never aggressive. Mildly increasing warmth of 8.5%. Ekuanot, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops; so I knew I'd be a fan. Awesome balance between juicy/light dank hops and fruity/spicy yeast complexity; nice solid pale/wheat malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness. Glad I got a 4 pack. I love Belgian IPAs, wish there were more available these days. Especially Americanized versions like this.

Fantastic Porter that smells and tastes just like hot chocolate with marshmallows, but never getting too sweet due roasted malt notes and a light/medium bitterness in the finish. Great stuff.
