Given every beer nerd has a PhD in makeshift line architecture with a double bachelors in self-policing and linear shitlording, Id tend to agree.

Mark me as someone who’s likely to try for the first DL tapped variant he sees, realizes its a mess, and then the rest of the day go to the non DL hyped taps and hope for a guest whale. Zig when they’re zaggin, man.

 

I'm assuming half the fest will rush for the 9 am Handjee tapping. Why only half? Figure 20% group A pickup, 20% Chemtrailmix tapping, 10% merch, table or trying not to die in the neckbeard stampede.

I'm hoping it won't be that crazy after that though. There are a ton of variants on, including 4 more Handjee tappings. Plus if everyone goes nuts for the taps, the herd will be passed out/dead pretty early.

 

Epic prank variant list by FFF last night. Good for 3 pages on here. They put the real variants up an hour ago.... THE BADL looks good.

I am Group A, and I think I plan on going for the 9am Chemtrailmix before getting in the bottle line. We will see though. My goal for Handjee is to make it til 7pm. Gotta get it this year....this will be my 5th DLD, and I have somehow yet to try Handjee....

 

I just don't understand how the announcement of the taps will make DLD better. You'll have 4,000 people camping a line for something that will run out after 200 people.... Guess it clears out the rest of the festival area?

Seriously what’s the point of bringing anything when I’m just going to be running around all these taps trying any variant regardless of how disgusting or poorly received they are.

 

Exactly my plan to zig away from crowds. Fortunate to have tried Handjee already so 9am I will hit CTM. Then look for guest taps, specially Side Project, Modern Times, and WTF American Solera withdrew? I sworn they were on there before. Then go for DL variants from 3-5pm as my buddy has group E. Will have to really pace, hydrate, and eat. Already know post DLD I will report back that none of this went according to plan! never does!

 

Am I reading the map wrong but is there only 1 entrance now?

 

You have to pre-register before getting in line for the variants though

 

Lines for the taps will be a shitshow like always but hopefully those who stay late will be rewarded with shorter lines. And who knows, maybe they have a bunch (multiple full sized kegs) of all these variants for draft and most get what they're looking for.

 

And the wrist band tracker limits you to 2 pours of DL variants....

 

Anyone want to bet who can keep their wrist band on the longest?
