Tree House's Catharsis porter (7.4% abv)...

While there are definite milk chocolate and coffee caramel aspects to the beer, I found it to be fairly well-hopped, which presented me with notes of both dark and citrus fruits, kinda melded in with the roastier malt impressions, and producing earthy, bright, fruit-sweet, and almost chewy characteristics. More of an IPA guy than a porter guy (I tend toward the imperial stout when I want something dark), I found this beer very enjoyable. There is a smooth fudginess to it, mildly sweet, mildly bitter, very softly carbonated... The body was full for a porter, and I liked that, too... 5/1/18 canning...

    Cheers...

Mississippi Mud Black and Tan - mostly pilsner with a bit of porter for color. Not something I will buy again. Cute jug though!

The calendar says Wednesday but my belly says Friday. Some Galactic Double Daisy Cutter (not my favorite. A bit too malty. Seemed to lack something). And then some Trillium Permutation No. 38.

Hello BA. It’s been a long day, and just got home from the gym. I’ve been saving this one for a month or so now, and it’s tasting mighty fine. Revision’s Battle of the Lord’s is one enjoyable brew. Cheers fellow advocates!

#2, go big or go home. This is from 2012, and it is magnificent, IMHO. The more it warms, the better it gets. I’m muling a few bottles of this to DLD (my first DLD) amongst other drinkables this weekend. Look me up - I’ll be wearing the red Surly shirt and the shit-eating grin.

Bartender, when you get a moment, I think I’d like to open a tab.

Empty glass last night and tonight, BA. Getting sick. Last one in the house too. Always happens that way. Sick kids, then wife, and I think I’m in the clear. Works out for the better though since I’m currently in the midst of some weight loss, which is heavily dependent on drinking less alcohol. I just hope I’m 100% by Monday night when I’ll be in DC with some beer specific plans.

Cheers and enjoy your evenings / days BA.

Finally hump day and no rain! I have not been super impressed so far with 18th Street Brewing, but this is pretty good! Cheers!
