Good morning NA BAs and good afternoon to our Europe-living brethren! Last night it rained yet again here in NW PA - a good thing because I bleached my front sidewalk to kill the algae growing there. Hopefully the rain washed the algean corpses away so the mail carrier doesn't slip and sue me.
This afternoon I'm taking my son to Der Braumeister in Cleveland for dinner - he's never been to an authentic German restaurant so this may be a good start for him. Too bad he doesn't want to go to Germany with me in October - good food and the start of the bock bier season.
Today's New Breakfast Beer is one that I had in 2012, before I joined BA:

A bit better than I had remembered.

Greetings from Eastern Europe! It's currently 3:40 PM, 78 and sunny in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I keep getting beer pours in these plastic bottles, which have become all the rage here over the last couple summers. Obviously this is not the most eco-friendly way, and I know that light can damage the beer fairly quickly, but convenience aspect in getting quality otherwise-unavailable brews to go is undeniable. Like the label says, this is an APA by a local micro brewery called Underwood. Heading out to the city after this to meet some friends in a new-to-me taproom. Cheers everybody!

    What’s up Beer Advocates?

Around here there are some good news... Sierra Nevada has made its way to the shelves. Not that much a surprise considering that Brooklyn and GI were on the same shelves since about 2 years now. I had this convo with @Beer-Panda once who assured me they would come here too after the Netherlands...

    Cheers.

PS: it’s plausible that Founders will finally hit said shelves too in the near future...

The thread about representative locals made the choice for me . . .

Taste like a high end AAL, which, considering wheat and corn are in the mix, is not surprising. It's a good flavor for the type but still not quite so flavorful as, say, Yuengling Traditional. That sounds disparaging I know but I came to those conclusions before looking up the brew on their website and finding the grain bill does include corn. It sorta reminds me of Schlitz back in the 60s.

    Good morning BA
For any who hoped I was gone forever, sorry, I'm back. Had a good visit with family in northern Indiana. I'm currently sanitizing bottles for homebrew rye IPA and enjoying? this one for old times sake.

Drank a lot of this in college. A LOT, but never had a cool stein like this. @Lingenbrau, is it okay to use steins before Memorial Day or are they like white shoes? I can never remember. I picked up several more in my travels but they will wait until Fest season. Cheers all!

I am having a Yellow Rose IPA (Lone Pint, Austin), ABV 6.80%, IBU 62. The flavor of the Yellow Rose is clean, juicy and refreshing, sweet grapefruit, and some mango, pineapple, pine resin and perhaps blueberry. The aroma is piney and floral. This is a great Texas IPA, perhaps among the best.

Likely I won't have another one of these for a long time. Surprised I didn't polish it off sooner.

    It's sooooo good.

I guess It's my reward for a halfway decent round of golf. Walked the 18 holes in 2 hours 10 minutes.

    Cheers All !

Really good and less than a month old. The new Hero pack is pretty good. I picked it up to balance the above average amount of lagers I've been drinking lately. I start six nights tonight after my daughter's 8th grade promotion ceremony. I probably have one more in me before a nap. Cheers all!

Good to hear Sierra Nevada has found it's way further south!

I wondered where they had gone by the way. Since the Torpedo and Pale Ale are not on the supermarket shelves here anymore.

    Cheers!

Happy Tuesday! Sipping on this beast before heading up to Cologne tomorrow with the family. Bourbon Paradise is definitely my favorite from Prairie. Cheers!
