While I don't feel its necessary to compare them, id rather hang out at Fox Farm.

Yeah, sorry Connecticut, you lost all credibility with the Julius/Trail Blazer comparisons...

I can't speak to the atmosphere of the brewery or how out of the way it is or the scenery along the drive or whatever other nonsense people here weigh into how good a brewery is. I had daylily on draft tonight at a restaurant on MA and it was just middle of road. Decent nose, medium mouthfeel, sweet, reasonably smooth with a bitter finish.

I know everyone wants thier own accessible heady or fort point or Julius or whatever but pump the brakes. If you love the beer, love it.

Stop trying to compare it to hype machines to drive trade value or somehow validate your tastes others.

How is talking about the atmosphere of a brewery nonsense? If you are talking purely about the beer itself, then yeah that wouldn't be relevant. But what makes Fox Farm great is how nice of a place it is to spend time. I think when comparing it to Tree House (which is stupid) we have been talking about it in terms of beer, as well a how comfortable and enjoyable of a place it is to hang out.

You had one beer at an off premise account and you're the expert... ok. Versus others who have been there multiple times and had many of their beers and styles who really like the beer and the place. I know who I'll take my advice from.

I've never had them but have been wanting to try them for a while.

Sweatshirt may have "only had one beer at an off premise account," but a quick search on Untapp'd tells me to temper my expectations. Their beer sounds like they fall in the decent to good category (4.1-4.25).

The brewery sounds like a fun place to hang out and have a couple pourss. I'm sure I'll have a good time.

I may be in the area in a few weeks and was actually thinking of swinging by. Do they fill growlers as well as can sales? If so, do they have to be FF growlers, or can they be from any brewery?

They'll fill non FF growlers. It's a nice place to visit with quality beer.

They don’t do cans, but always have great growlers selection and will fill anything . They also have limited bottles for sale (usually farmhouse, sours etc). Also fwiw, I think the beers are more than decent. The IPAs are not as thick as certain NE breweries but I find them very flavorful and balanced (also, the Ashlawn coffee stout is world class).

Didn't say I was an expert. I gave my opinion on the beer and suggested people stop trying to make forced comparisons. If you only want to take your advice from the echo chamber of people who already love the place I'll ignore your opinions as well because they are worthless. That's like asking people waiting a hour in line at TH weekly what they think of TH.

I am an expert and I vote their IPAs are just as good. They need to step their adjunct stout game bc TH has them there.
