Anyone know of any tap takeover or events from all the breweries visiting next week?

 

I'll be in town probably around 12 on Friday. I was figuring on checking out Silva Brewing if anyone is around and interested. 5pm it's the Adelaide pool until I fall over.

@Hopgoddess312 ...you will be missed for sure. My pleasure helping with the ticket, but we'll miss you. @Vitacca is going to have to bring his mid-West A game to make up for the loss of your wit (as in intelligence and sense of humor - actually not talking about a beer here...)

And for those at the Adelaide who manage to drum up an appetite following the fest Saturday...I spent yesterday smoking pork shoulder so pulled pork sandwiches or smoky carnitas (depending on whether you like your pork with onions and cilantro in a corn tortilla or with bbq sauce with slaw and a bun) will go down on the grassy knoll. Join us. Cheers!

I second the disappointment that @Hopgoddess312 won't be able to make it. We will throw back many more small pours at the shares for you.

I noticed that this year Adelaide was not among the recommended hotels. Maybe I'm just overreacting, but could that mean any change in the rules around the property? I know that last year got pretty nuts and hopefully they won't stop that share from being the crazy good time it was last year.

I packed up some of the beer I'm bringing over the weekend and I'm up to 30 not counting the stuff in the fridge I want to keep cold.

 

Police weren’t involved and the reliable maintenance dude wasn’t too upset with us...and I got some emails about the Adelaide offering free brewery tours, so i’m thinking we’re okay. Besides, the craziness passed out pretty early last year, leaving the rest of us to shut things down...oh, and during clean up we found someone left an unopened BA Speedway...her feelings were hurt, but I nursed her back to life and she’s ready for the big show this year. Looking forward to it...

 

When I called to make my reservation at the Adelaide this year, they made sure I was aware that a beer festival was that weekend and that many people liked to make it a social weekend in the common areas of their hotel. It sounds like they aren't planning to stop the share, in my opinion.

 

That is grounds for dismemberment and potential ritual sacrifice in my household.

Curious if anybody is there Thursday night since I will be sitting inside the pool area with a couple bottles anyways. Doing the cooler packing today and so far I might have too many stouts. Bringing up cantillon, 3F, SARA, Alesmith, MikkellerSD, and ModernTimes stuff thus far. And then whatever else I can fit in the cooler without the better half rolling her eyes (..too much).

 

Just finished packing beer to bring, Expect a little bit of New Glarus, Funk Factory and Central Waters plus a few other things(I think a Cycle, an Angry Chair cant remember what else) in the beer suitcase.

 

Bummed a friend I was trying to get to go bailed on me, but excited to be attending for the first time ever! Will be staying at the Adelaide and looking forward to this craziness Planned this all super last-minute and will be driving up from L.A on Friday.

Hope I can join in on this bottle share I have some Bottle Logic I'd feel too guilty of cracking open myself.

 

Hops wise I grabbed Pure Project, Abnormal and Modern Times. I have a couple boxes of stouts, probably more than I need but I figure I’d rather be prepared

 

24 beers from WI departing in 9 hours.

 

Any interest in fieldwork hops, moksa hops, or urban roots? I’m going crowler shopping and happy to grab something of interest from the Sacramento area....

As for me, I didn't a get room their, so I will be looking for volunteers at the La Quinta Inn, to help me reduce my bottle count.

 

Urban Roots does crowlers? If so, very good to know.

Packed fresh Revision hops (Smoke-n-Mirrors, and GFY), some recent Reuben's hops, and an assorted mix of quads and aged stouts. Stoked on first FWIBF experience!

if I bring a 24 pack of Coors can I get into Adelaide pool on sat after fest? In all seriousness I am not staying there but would love to pop in with an assortment of bottles. Is it an open thing?
