Having a Hoppel Hammer in Belfast. It is a triple hopped IPA from Whitewater Brewery.

About an hour ago I noticed my MacBook wasn’t charging anymore. Oops! Luckily this happened in a city and not in a remote village. There is even an Apple store in Belfast.

Just checked if the charging is working here in the pub, you never know. Works fine, so I can keep on working and posting to BA

Looks like more rain today, I'll do some burgers on the grill if there's a hole in the clouds. This weekend is an all Budweiser weekend, seems appropriate enough, I might drop into the local beer joint and see what's around. Feeling lazy this weekend.

 

Happy Monday ba and of course a somber rememberance of the fallen warriors. Getting into it w/ Lomax, a summer ipa, dry hopped w/ simcoe, centennial, and mosaic. Really pretty nice with subtle fruit, not very sweet a rather nice light and refreshing feel. 5/15/18,

 

Congratulations on the sale. It took almost a year to sell my old place in Maine.

I don't miss the long Winters (short golf season) or the black flies, but there is a lot I do miss as it's a beautiful place to live.

 

Taste is hop forward on entry with citrus giving the opening trumpet voluntary. The citrus turns more into a zest/essential oil presence that elevates the flavor without launching into bitterness. There's malt in there but I'm having difficulty teasing out the malt flavor. There is a resinous, piney note in the hop flavor that rides along but plays a minor role. Same flavor sensations in the aftertaste with a surprising lack of residual bitterness. I can't say I miss a malt presence in this brew because it's very well balanced as is.

 

Drinking a couple of these while changing the oil on the Bronco. Refreshing

 

I raise my glass on this Memorial Day to all those that gave their all to preserve our way life.

I can't help but feel we're not doing our part as civilians considering the current state of affairs.

I think this Triple Bag is underrated. I guess it's just that these days hop bombs are all the rage while this Triple Bag is one hell of a malt bomb.
