I saw Reaction State on the "what's brewing" board back in July or August... maybe they're releasing it separately from Ground State this year because it needs more time?

 

It's mainly a poorly executed joke as Summer is generally regarded as a ridiculous time to release 14.++% stouts. For whatever reason, that hasn't proven to be too much of a hurdle thus far...

 

I has all the sads now... I was REALLY hoping you had something even more awesome planned, like a new stasis each week or two for the next couple of months!
<sigh>
Guess I'll just have to live with Ground State for now.

P.S. - there is no time that is ridiculous to release awesome 14.++% stouts. I'll take them all year round if I can get them!

Voodoo is one of those breweries that believes in "Stout season," so much so you can't even drink anything close to a dark beer on draft at their brewery for at least half of the entire year.

This also makes it very difficult for anyone to gauge how good they are at making Stout...and whether their more limited stuff it's worth trading for...a discussion for another place

 

You could just wait until it cools down in the evening to drink your Stout.

 

Pfft that's what air conditioning is for. Make your house cold enough you need a stout.

 

Oh, yeah, Staff of Asir was tasting great. Got four bottles between two of us, so I'm happy.

The other WOL beer, La Calotterie, wasn't as good as I remember it being.

 

All These Flavors is absolutely insane. Such a great mouthfeel. Grabbed a crowler of that.
Also had Show Your Work, Love the behind the scenes look into their most famous BBA Stouts.

 

It's always so quiet before the flood of "I got it!" and "Fuck this, I didn't get it!" e-mails start rolling in...

I don't start until my watch says 12:00 PM; usually only have to do one or two refreshes. I think mashing f5 for a long while before a sale might actually hurt your chances.

Well that sucked. Went from the sale hasn't started screen to the Unavailable screen. None for me.

 

12:00 and i missed out on getting any :-(

 

TRY AGAIN NOW! Carts re-open! Happens every 6 minutes or so until it says "Sold Out" instead of "Unavailable".

 

Even then it's hopeless. 5 times the "Tickets" button appeared but by the time I hit the Checkout button, it's too late.
