Hoppin' Frog - thanks for making a probably non-bourbon barrel aged brew - and PLEASE start dating your bottles - we-uns don't always buy case lots of bombers!

 

Kettlehead Quest.

 

I am having Crusher a Double IPA from the Alchemist, ABV 8%, IBU 110, for the second time in my life. There's grapefruit and mango, lot's of pine resin, and it's juicy and dank. The head stays a long time. It is really great, like they say.

Morning start after an easy hour on the treadmill, thanks to @Buck89, who didn’t listen when I asked him to not give me many beers this trip. There are worse offenses in the world, I guess.


This V Latte by Bearded Iris isn’t very pretty, but has a nice coffee-like overall impression to it aided by the oats it seems; vanilla and lactose are subdued. Tasty!

 

That just looks refreshing, cheers!

 

Anyone heard from Hunter lately? We were in pretty close touch until about a week ago, and he kind of fell off the map.

Some of you regulars may have wondered where I take these beer / boat / lake backdrop pics all the time....here is my location



I live on Long Lake, which is a part of Portage Lakes State Park (just south of Akron OH) - my house sits on a channel - top left of map, by the "bobber" shore-fishing icon



so, now you know!

The basement has a finished rec room with wet bar, TV lounge, and pool table...I plan on taking lots of beer pics down here this month

You can guess who gave us this. A very juicy (the additions shine) beer, bordering on fruit beer, but officially it is one variety of ring... Mood Ring with pineapple, mango and pink guava from Bearded Iris:

Lunch with a mild sandwich and a mild beer, neither of which I can taste worth a damn. Oh well, the kids say I've recovered enough to start complaining which I suppose is a good sign.



Fairly mild to mid tasting AAL from what I can taste. I swear my nose is so stopped up I doubt the smell of Limburger cheese could penetrate through. I can tell this beer is clean and refreshing.
