Yeah actually that’s the only other one that came to mind. At my old job when I used to run home I’d stop in sometimes - decent for sure

Covenhoven was a great place for take home bottles/cans before their beer manager left to work at Threes (can't remember his name for the life of me, James?). The prices were fair, they had a great selection, and they would keep their beermenus page updated daily. I haven't been there in awhile, but I started going there less and less as prices began to rise and the quality seemed to decline as well. Gold Star opening probably didn't help them.

Gold star and covenhoven for sure are awesome and my go to places. Just being in prospect/crown heights I’m not really counting them in terms of “serving the area”. Meaning places specifically in cobble hill, boerum hill, Carroll gardens, gowanus and park slope.

209 station is another solid place but is just inside Windsor terrace so wasn’t counting that either

The Threes Café and Shop always has a nice selection of guest beers.

Just tried triple citra. OH’s citra beers are some of my favorites, but this is just a bit too much for me. The sweetness drowns out the hops

I loved going to Bierkraft back in the day. What was polarizing about the place? I never had anything but great experiences there.

I loved it too. Nowhere will ever compete with that draft/growler list. And those sandwiches. the backyard. Cask and oyster fest. Sorely missed!

I think some people got pissed off with the bottle prices (which were generally more than most stores). But the way I saw it was it was like a cheap bar - where you could also buy a couple of harder to find bottles to go. If you went there to buy your weekly sixer of SNPA then you were doing it wrong

Edit - but whenever it came up on here there were always the same group who shat on the place for “gouging” which was nonsense

Mosaic Daydream is the worst OH IPA I've ever had. Tastes like hoppy skim milk. But I'm drinking 4 of them nonetheless.

    Edit:
I don't remember what I drank there but I loved that place too. The vegetarian sandwich was divine. I'll pour out my last Mosaic Daydream for Bierkraft

I was saying the same thing about TMDD, and aside from those anniversary and collab triples I find they're always that way.

I am still missing Bierkraft’s prosciutto/cheese/fig jam sandwiches. And oh that draft list. Pour one out.

Yeah I had similar feelings about TMDD, but I feel like the mosaic hops (or maybe just slightly better execution in that case) held up to the triple treatment a little better.

    My number one sandwich too!

Probably not a sustainable option financially for most, but isn't BGHs take away selection pretty decent?

They let you take it to go?!

I knew Cardiff giant allowed that. Didn’t realize that was an option at their other bars. That’s great to know

Yeah, they were just dissolving from the condensation on the cans as people were walking away.
