Out the store, they are unbelievably wrong on this one.Jacks has never had a 4pk or 6pk come close to that price point. Even Springdale has not had a 4pk at that price. No excuses here, especially considering maibock is now in the Keller series and all of those have been the same price ($10.99 usually).

I don't want to name the shop as I was/am confident that it was a simple mistake rather than the store trying to pull a fast one, and that things could be rectified easily enough. I went back a couple days later to get a price-check and it was still the same price in their system, but I spoke to a manager and he expressed surprise, turned to the computer, and reset the price so it's the same as the other JA keller series beers that come through there.

And presto, I was pleased to become reacquainted with this worthy maibock.

Looks like Sunny Ridge was canned today.

Concur, and same. Actually a very nice post-work beer on this fairly gloomy day. Good balance of light and refreshing with a very tasty bready sweetness.

Franconian Kraft may be one of the best beers they've done. God damn.

Maybe I missed Sunny Ridge last year or just misremember but cans from 5/30 are overshadowing other local and seasonal Pils. This will be around through July?

I was wondering if Sunny Ridge would appeal to me as much as it has in the past now that I've become habituated to year-round Post Shift. As it happens, it appeals to me even more, and that's without any loss of affection for Post Shift. They're distinct from one another and both great, and I'll be drinking lots of Sunny Ridge until it's out of season.

According to JA's promo, it's supposed to be a May-July beer, but it didn't appear this year until mid-June. I'm hopeful that means it'll be available through August as well.

Grabbed some of this over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It's very "grainy" in the same way that I find some Mayflower beers to be in that it tastes a bit like Grape Nuts and oatmeal/granola.

The whole series has been good so far, though I found the Maibock hurts like Helles to be a bit too sweet for my liking.

I'll give the edge to Sunny Ridge as well, but maybe only for the fact that the Post Shift around here seems to sit and the Sunny Ridge is nice and fresh. I just wish it came in 12x12oz format (and maybe it does but not around here?) as I prefer my beach beers not to be 16oz. A small nit, I know, but hey, we're dreaming here anyway....

I spoke too soon about drinking loads and loads of Sunny Ridge: It seems to have disappeared from several of my local packies, and it never arrived at the rest. I may have to inquire with the distributors because last year it was all over the place around here.

This year Sunny Ridge has a slightly shorter season than our regular seasonals because we have Post Shift available as well. Our distributor still has it in stock so it should be available for the rest of the month.

So I’m guessing (due to lack of any release or communication), the Cherry BA Framinghammer is not happening?

Also surprised to find a new (to me?) Keller Series beer on tap. Ratskeller. Quite good.

Love the lagers, but Jack’s Abby’s social media management and website updating is pretty abysmal.

    1) Anheiser Busch In-Bev is using the name Copper Legend for their newest “creation?”

    2) Shipping out of Boston is amazing. Honestly one of the best Kellerbiers I’ve ever drank, American or German.

    3) I drank Post Shift all summer.

Picked up a sixer of HopU kingers today at WholeFoods on sale for $8.99. Oh how I missed thee. I'm sorry, I will not wait for a sale to purchase you again.

Yeah and available in growlers. Hallertau Blanc dry hop. Wonderful grassy fruity aroma and taste. The hops just jump out of the glass. Takes post shift to a higher plane. Was lovely.

Have to steal from @lic217 with his reference to SN Summerfest earlier this year:

Maybe first of the year bias, but Copper Legend is tasting like pure fucking magic.

Bready, floral, toasty. Minimal sweetness and dry. Second better than the first. Looking forward to the third.

Right there with ya! Can't get enough of it right now.

Maybe its b/c I hadn't had it in awhile, but the recent HopU I've had was really freaking good, and at that price (similar at Julio's) its a no brainer. Absolutely loving everything Jack's is doing right now
