Bought 2 cans at Johns MKT. looks like it was moving quick.

As suspected, it’s a hazy IPA that tastes like the 236 others that are available. My feelings on this style are known, so I won’t waste any time. It’s a fine beer that I would gladly drink any day of the week if offered. Past that, I’ll probably purchase 3-4 more cans this summer and that’s it. No searching or hunting whatsoever.

Personally, I’m finding a lot more satisfaction in some old school style lagers, pils, kolsch, pale ales. Many of the best breweries around are knocking it out of the park with some very basic beers. The pFriem Kolsch I had today was 5x more satisfying than the can of 3way.....but that’s just my opinion

Every beer I drink doesn't have to be a pissing contest. As long as I enjoy it, I don't care how it rates in the overall scheme of things. I'll gladly buy 4-packs when available. For science.

I finally got to try Firestone Lager. It was probably the best domestic-made helles I've had yet, and I'm kicking myself for only picking up a single.

I think I'm transitioning to summer mode, as I also picked up a sixer of Aslan's Disco Lemonade as well as St. Bernardus Wit, which I had no idea was now in canned four-packs.

Excluding the Reuben's Crush I picked up this weekend, the stock in my fridge apparently shows my pendulum is swinging back to the simple, less-cloudy offerings.

I was reading about this year's hopbill and noticed they're using Ariana. I hadn't heard of it before, very cool that they used a German hop alongside Comet, Simcoe and Citra.

I scored a couple 4-packs and did a tasting with some friends Saturday night. It was a home run with the group. Probably a shade below last year's offering, but still somewhere between good and great. However, it is definitely in that creamy, juice-forward style with very little hop bitterness. If that's not your jam then I suggest moving along and saving some for the rest of us.

I had can yesterday and then a Fields of Green Eleanor a couple hours later. I think I preferred 3-Way.

I've been a fan of Ft. George's brews since the first can I tried some years back, and I kinda love most things Modern Times puts out. So this sounds like a win. What are the odds I'll still find some of this on the shelves when I'm in PDX later this month? (What shelves, even?)

3-Way sees wide distribution (bottle shops, grocery stores, etc.) and they make it all summer, so you have a good shot at finding some.

    ^ This.

If you're having problems finding it when you get here, or if you're just lazy (like me), ask for some advice in this forum and I'm sure someone will steer you in the right direction.

    Have fun.

Emphasis on *should*. 3-Way proved to be harder to find in Seattle than I expected last year, but I still managed to drink a ton of it.

Another shipment should hit Portland this Friday. Sounds like it'll be coming out in weekly batches until they decide it's done.

Based upon this review and others, I will do just as you ask and move along and save some for the rest of you.

Also grabbed some at Belmont last Friday. I enjoyed the Beta versions more than this final canned version.

It’s still a solid, if not spectacular neipa. Has the appearance and mouthfeel of what you’d expect from that style. Even hazier than last years version.

Doesn’t quite compare to some of the better hazy’s Modern Times or even Ft George has put out lately though. Falls a bit short on the finish for me. Thinking it might be the hop bill. Curious to see if they tweak any of the later batches.

Looks like distro for 3 way has made it up to Seattle. I picked up a 4pk at Chucks CD, along with some Mirage Candy Rain

I’ve still got cans from Saturday at Holy Mountain so I’ll let everyone fight for this first shipment. Block 15’s Fresh Flow hit Seattle today, too.

Glad I saw your post, as detoured and hit up Chuck's on my way back to my hotel. This year is ok, but by no means one I'd make an effort to get again. Count me in the group that put last year's and 2016 ahead of it.

I picked up a 4 pack of Candy Rain based on your post, so hopefully that one is legit

Also picked up a Block 15 4 pack ($13, yes please!), and a crowler of the Reuben's Crushkateers that I missed out on the 4 packs of. You guys have no idea how lucky you are that you can get fills of beer at bars/bottle shops/etc.

I haven't had it yet so I hoping that too! I was lurking on the "All hazy IPAs are the same" thread and people seemed to like it. Plus, the guy at Chucks let me break up the 4 pk so the initial buy in was low.

I REALLY like Candy Rain. It's very subtle and light bodied which is perfect for this heat. Hopefully your palates are similar to mine.

Ok, this Candy Rain is, in fact, no doubt, REALLY good. Probably in the top 5% of Seattle IPAs I've had. Don't want to detract from this thread (mods delete if necessary, did a search and found no threads with Mirage in the title), but I'll be keeping an eye out for future releases from these guys. Oh, to keep on thread, I'd buy this over 3 Way.
