Not the first time I've heard this and also not surprised based on what I tasted.

Have yet to touch mine, hope it's not another trade in but I have no doubt should be ok.

I was reading untapped and I didn’t see anything negative. Not a single infected review.

Good, I really want to age them, all BL stouts are better with age, I may have one this week to see.

Has anyone here tried Ground State from the low fills today?

I had 17 from the bottle last weekend and I think so far, I preferred that to what I tried from the low fill pour today. This batch is forward coffee & cacao that is balanced, but I only got a hint of maple in the finish. Tasted like the complete opposite.

Curious to know what the final product will be like. From what I've tasted, it seems like it'll need aging but that's for my taste preference.

I had a 2018 ST and it was great, better than 2017 IMO.

I had it at WOL and thought the coffee was strong - but then again the only one I had of GS last year was aged 9 months before drinking. I planned to do the same anyways, I think their beers are better with age anyways.

We ran another set of Quality Assurance tests on a control bottle stored at ambient office temperature yesterday and both Brew PAL (testing for Lactobacillus & Pediococcus) and Brew DEK (testing for Brettanomyces) came back clean.

In building the final blend, we process each barrel through this QA regimen before we rack them into a blending tank so we can be sure we're not bringing less-than-perfect beer into the finished release. We run these tests again after we've finished adding any additional ingredients [cacao nibs, coconut] to the homogenized blend to catch potential flaws at that step. [This was the first thing we changed after Byzantine Vision.] Yesterday's tests go on to confirm that no foreign contaminants were picked up during the bottling process, either.

General health of the beer confirmed, I can totally see where you're picking up a fruitier finish than B1/2016. We used a darker-roasted specialty malt and darker Brewer's Crystals to bump up the 'roastiness' in a way that competes a little more directly with the more delicate points of real coconut additions. Personally, I pull a lot of dried fruit/raisin character from these tweaks, and I'm digging the structure that the bolder roast brings to the beer overall. </end shilling my wares>

Let me know if you have questions, I'm always happy to illuminate!

sweet! Now I'm not worried about sending a bottle to my buddy.

I'm tempted to open up a bottle of B1 soon!

    Thanks, as always, Lindsay!

Yeah, I definitely got more of a raisin at the end. I'm glad there's no infection too. thank you for responding to my post!

I haven't opened my Space Trace, but my buddy opened his. He said it was good but not as much coconut as on-tap.

Opened a bottle of Space Trace 2018 tonight.

The coconut has fallen off a bit, but the beer is still everything we would expect from a Stasis Project beer. Absolutely no sign of infection.

    Excellent beer.

Had a space trace last week, I didn’t get any coconut, but it was still a fantastic stout, might make my first trade with my second one because there are a lot other beers I’d rather have

Isn’t FO season here? Shouldn’t announcement of eventbrite release be coming soon? I’m antsy in my pantsy.

It is normally in June, but Ground state is also usually released in the beginning of the year. But I do agree it should be coming up any month now. I wouldn't mind if they released Reaction State, or a brand new stasis release would be sweet.
