You're causing inflated prices, making it impossible for people to try any beers unless they don't have daytime jobs, and treating beer as some insanely scarce commodity instead of something to enjoy with friends. It's a chimera of everything wrong with craft beer, and it's why four-packs cost fucking $24 now, because breweries can milk money from privileged idiots who cheat their way into profiting off of hoarded beer.

wow, you've been holding that one in. Yes, I can how price can get inflated by the demand, but I do share with friends & I don't sell my beers. I try to live that "Craft Beer Life" the Right Way, but I do see what your saying. I don't think you should group all haze bros into one groups. we are all different and we all believe in different things.

I do agree with that, I hate when people bring mules. Look I'm just trying to live that Craft Beer Life, and trying to do it the best way I can by sharing beer, talking to the community and overall just enjoying the beer, Cheers

I bring a mule to almost every beer release (not monkish). The last one was Silva Brewing for Silva Stout release. Glad I brought the mule since once friends found out I was bombarded with paypal and venmo notifications that I had received money. We needed her allotment just so we would have some beer to take home for us. Hehehe.

Also, my mule ends up drinking half of my beer anyways....so there's that. Unless it is 3F Hommage, she still doesn't like it, which is 100% A-ok by me.

She has kept me sane for the past 12ish years and dealt with all of my beer antics so I would say she's a keeper.

Why would you care about trade value if you're only sharing beer with your friends? I can say with utmost certainty that none of my friends are going to care that a beer I got for them is also available for growler fills at their taproom.

I share with my friends at shares and also trade my beer. it's not like I'm upset or anything about Monkish doing that, I actually said that's good for the people who couldn't get the cans.

I buy a 2L growler or two - boomette! - that pretty much takes care of me and mine for weeks. No lines, no fuss. So let the bros have their tradeables.

Do whatever you want. I was just answering a question why I think it's bad for people to judge beer on its trade value.

One Monkish beer including the OG Space Cookies that I could do only a couple ounces at best.

    Cheers,

Glad I only got a 4 oz. pour on Friday. Didn't really get much mango and overall, was very sharp/biting to drink. Didn't hate it but also didn't need more than what I bought.

I thought It was good at FWI (after 100 other beers), go figure. I wonder if it didn't hold up too much beyond a week or two. I liked it last week, the mango was there and i was surprised by how much i didn't hate it.

I don't speak for everyone, but I am a prolific trader and part of the reason why is because I like to taste beer from breweries all over the country that I can't always get. Every region and brewery has their own way of doing things, and I enjoy those nuanced variations. Trade value means nothing to me, everyone I trade with is $4$. And I almost never check things in on Untappd, could care less about 'ticking'. Only really check a beer in when it's particularly good and want to remember it, in case I want to trade for more of it.

Beer trading is a wonderful thing if you're doing it $4$. It's a great way to support a brewery you like from far away.
