An 18 year old, 17 year old, 11 year old and I just played bags. The 11 year old won it, playing against me. I need something stronger now.

Speaking of age, I think this one that was just on the radio came out around the same time as Ted Just Admit It. I saw Garth when he opened for the Judds on their farewell tour, and even then, you knew he was destined for greatness.

#2, I can’t believe I’ve not had this before. Everything is on point except for the floaties - I’ve never seen a scotch ale with floaties. It’s kinda freakin’ me out.

Some fresh Victory Dirt Wolf on tap down in the Philly area. That’s an underrated beer when fresh.

Another great day of new beer hauls as expected.

New brewery to me. Hope we get their milksharks soon. Citra dry hopped sour. This was outstanding. Great head retention/soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, green apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, white wine, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, and light pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light lacto/musty funk, white vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light lactic tartness, pine/herbal/grassy bitterness, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, lactic acid, and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic dryness, no puckering sourness. Refreshingly drinkable, not overly lactic, 5.6%. Yep, they nailed it. Awesome balance of Brett/Lacto complexity and juicy Citra hops; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Very impressive. 4.15

Another new NEIPA, yet not haze. This was very nice. Great head retention/lacing. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts/lactose and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins, increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, never aggressive, 7.5%. It's no NEIPA, but perfectly serviceable as a regular IPA. No hyped hops at all; tastes like Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial. I was a fan. 3.88
