My first beer in over 3 weeks due to an antibiotics regimen. Can’t say it was hard going without...but I am REALLY glad those 3 weeks are up! The last hoppy beer in the house and 10 weeks old, so I went with this. Tasting so good.

 

Feeling pretty good for a Monday so I cracked open a Crowning Achievement by Barrier and it’s fantastic. An imperial stout made with maple syrup and then aged in bourbon barrels, it tastes exactly how it sounds. Very smooth for 12%. Barrier did a great job here.

Clear golden yellow , scant foam islands

Aroma is grassy, Martinez’s

Taste is watery , grassy, malts , not much flavor

Serve it ice cold , it could be a lawn mower beer

In the 90s early 2000s this was the beer that just blew me away, it ran about 11 to 12 % and with a new brewer it is 9% and not even close to the same incredible beer, still nice but not what it was.

I am sorry if I offended you. Having two daughters has made me leery. But if you are interested, the youngest got married last month and the oldest just had a baby. My daughter was born Jan 26. Her husbanmd was born Jan 26. Their daughter was born....yes Jan 26! yes. Awesome.

Sorry to hear about your situation. As someone who recently went through a pretty large life-changing event recently, I can identify and I just hope whatever’s going on between you guys is something that can be sorted out over time.
