Okay, since I could't attend the parade, I went for a walk to the store for dinner. Mis en place done; once the GF gets home, dinner will be cooked, so now is time for a beer:

Asbury park stout to start the evening

 

Man this seasonal creep is getting out of hand. No, not really, I found this at the back of the beer frig.

 

Got the day off from work . Was driving by Marble so decided to stop by for a quick, small drink. Enjoyed their Thunder from Dortmunder.

 

I was given this beer from @SawDog505, and he said I would love it...and he’s right! A DIPA from 14th Star Brewing Co., St. Albans, VT - “Tribute”:



Lemon peel, weedy nose. Light crackery malt foundation plays so well with the hops, teasing the tongue with the barest of bitterness. Thirst quenching and clean - crisp and lite, at 8.1% the alcohol is sure to catch me by surprise because I’m not aware of it now BAs...what’s in your glass? Cheers!

 

Bappy hirthday, mix it up and have a blast.

 

After a 13% stout I thought a "light" beer was in order. Actually pretty tasty.
